One is made to look like an old radio/ record player - I can play 33s, 45s, and 78s on it plus cds, cassettes, and the radio - and the other can play and convert 33s and 45s to mp3 format so you can upload it to your iTunes library or whatever. You can find all kinds of records at thrift stores and antique shops! :).
