Halloween Reads 2025 - Wrap Up & Mini Reviews

Happy Friday everyone!  Today's Halloween and I thought I'd share what I read my wrap up and mini reviews for the spooky books I read in October.  I wasn't able to get to all the books on my original tbr , but I think I did pretty good.  Without further ado, let's get to the reading material: ❋   ❋  ❋  ❋   Blood Debt  ( Vicki Nelson  #5) by Tanya Huff  isn't quite as good as the previous installment but I still enjoyed revisiting the characters even if so much has changed.  Vicki is different this time around and I totally didn't mind that at all.  It was interesting to see her coming into her new identity.  I can't wait to read Blood Bank and the Smoke Trilogy My review is also on Goodreads and The StoryGraph . ❋   ❋  ❋  ❋   Religious cult horror set at a craft store is a pretty cool idea and  Crafting for Sinners  by Jenny Kiefer  really worked for me. It is a bit...

Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Postcards Received Via Postcrossing

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by  That Artsy Reader Girl .  This week's topic is a non-book freebie, so I thought I'd feature ten favorite postcards I've received via Postcrossing .  I'll be the first to admit that some of these are bookish, but that's okay.  Now that I think about it, I've hardly ever mentioned that I'm a Postcrosser on here, but it quickly became one of my favorite hobbies.  Basically, the idea of Postcrossing is to send and receive postcards from all over the world and it's so cool! I've gotten a lot of great book recommendations from users over the last 2 years.  Anyway, for each of the cards I'm featuring I'll share the country I received it from and how far it traveled to get to me in Ohio.  Here we go, from closest to furthest away: United States (Virginia) - 273 miles - I think I need to get some postcards like these to send! United States (Illinois) - 342 miles - What a magical c...
