Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week's topic is a Halloween themed freebie, so I'm opting to do my list on horror movies I want to see that I have never seen before. Here we go, in alphabetically order:
An American Werewolf in London (1981)
The Babadook (2014)
The Final Girls (2015)
Goodnight Mommy (2014)
The Innocents (1961)
It Follows (2015)
The Loved Ones (2009)
The Orphanage (2007)
Scouts Guide to the Apocalypse (2015)
Victor Frankenstein (To be released November 25, 2015)
So what do you think of my list this week? Have you seen any of these movies, or are they on your to-watch list? What are some of your favorite movies to get you in the Halloween spirit?
I thought The Babadook was really creepy. My boyfriend now so much. lol
ReplyDeleteI'm creeped out by just watching the trailer! :) Thanks for visiting!
DeleteGreat list! I really want to see Victor Frankenstein!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like so much fun. :) Thanks for visiting my blog.
DeleteThe Innocents looks good. I can handle scary movies if they're black and white!
ReplyDeleteThen it looks like it'd be right up your alley! :)
DeleteSome really great picks. You really need to see American Werewolf in London. Haven't seen most of the ones on the list but then again they dont make them like they used to.
ReplyDeleteVery true.
DeleteI have no idea how I've gotten away with not seeing An American Werewolf in London all these year!
I've not seen any of these! I definitely want to see Victor Frankenstein!
ReplyDeleteThey're all so new - I hope you like it if you do get to see it! :)
DeleteCheck out my TTT and my Halloween Giveaway.
I haven't seen any of these (because I am a scaredy-cat when it comes to horror movies) but they look really good! The Final Girl looks really fun as well which means I might be able to watch it!
ReplyDeleteI love that it looks like it has such a sense of humor. Sometimes horror/comedy really works. Thanks for visiting my blog!
DeleteI'm too much of a wimp to watch these! I hope you like them though.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThe Babadook was horrifying. We watched it one night when we couldn't find much else and it was one of the scariest films we have seen this year. I would also recommend Insidious 3. It was much better than 1 and 2 and you really don't miss much by going straight to it as it's technically a sequel anyway.
ReplyDeleteSounds like I must watch it then!
DeleteI didn't really care for 1 or 2, but I might have to try number 3 now. :)
oooo horror movies are so not my thing but I hope you have fun :D
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
DeleteI didn't even try to watch the trailers! LOL but I can definitely say The Orphanage is my favourite movie of all time. It has drama, suspense, an eerie setting, and a story that is very moving and memorable. The cinematography was beautiful too :D The Babadook is scary as well, I won't attempt to watch it alone! ever!
ReplyDeleteJoan @ Fiddler Blue
Good to hear about The Orphanage - I've been wanting to watch more by that director after seeing Crimson Peak! :)
DeleteI am such a wimp when it comes to horror films, but I do really want to see Victor Frankenstein just because I love the cast.
ReplyDeleteThey look like they'll be great together, don't they? :)
DeleteSome of the movies looks good. Thanks for stopping by my blog.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for stopping by mine too! :)
DeleteI really want to see It Follows, it just looks so creepy. Babadook is on my to-watch list. Hope you have a great Hallloween!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope you do too.
DeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog! Creepy list, never been a fan of cray movies. I scar way to easy! Haha, hope you get to see these soon!
Happy Watching!
Thanks! Happy Halloween! :)
DeleteWhat a fun list! I don't generally like horror movies. I'm curious about The Orphanage. I've heard good things about it.
ReplyDeleteSo have I. Thanks for visiting!
DeleteGreat list, though I've not seen any of them either, haha. Victor Frankenstein looks sooo good!
ReplyDeleteIt really does, doesn't it! :)
DeleteI'm the biggest coward when it comes to horror movies! I would never watch one of these for sure!
ReplyDeleteThey look pretty intense! Thanks for visiting my blog!
DeleteWow, I haven't seen any of the movies you listed.
ReplyDeleteHere's a link to my TTT post for the week: http://captivatedreader.blogspot.com/2015/10/top-ten-tuesday-10-literary-halloween.html
A lot of these are really new... Thanks for visiting my blog!
DeleteNow see I can read creepy all day, but put a movie on and I am out the door! I couldn't even watch these trailers lol!! I hope you get to watch them for Halloween =)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I've watched The Shining and Ringu within the past two days and I am thoroughly creeped out!
DeleteI was honestly so disappointed by The Babadook and It Follows. I was really hoping they'd both be amazing!
ReplyDeleteHere are my Top Ten!
Thanks for sharing!
DeleteGreat list (and topic) this week! I have not watched any of the movies you have on your list, though. But I will definitely binge-watch those movies... At night so it's creepier. Haha.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day!

Well, I hope you will like them! Thanks for visiting my blog.
DeleteMaybe I'm kind of desensitized when it comes to most horror movies. I get bored, but if I'm going to watch a scary movie I don't what it to be what I call. "Gorror" I hate gore, or scary movies that pin everything scary on something gory.
ReplyDeleteMy very G-rated TTT:
Marie @ Pages to Explore lol
I don't really care for slasher movies - I prefer the psychological thrillers more than anything. :)
DeleteGreat list of movies. I think I've only ever seen The American Werewolf in London. Victor Frankenstein looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteI really need to see them! Thanks for visiting my blog!
DeleteYou've got a good mix of new and old films! I'm such a wimp, I can't do horror movies. My dad recently got into The Walking Dead tv show --I can just barely tolerate the episodes I've seen (I feel like I could get attached to the characters, but they keep killing people off and the zombies ... eeh). =)
ReplyDeleteI love The Walking Dead - I'm up to season five now. :)
DeleteThese all look terrifying and I doubt I could watch any of them, except from Scouts Guide to the Apocalypse! I love a good zombie movie!!
ReplyDeleteEspecially when mixed with a healthy does of humor! :)
DeleteI've only seen the BABADOOK...I liked it. It was kind of weird haha. I think you'll like it! ;P
ReplyDeleteI'll probably like it then! :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI loved The Orphanage! It isn't that scary, but disturbing. So no nightmares for me after seeing it :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like it has potential! Thanks for commenting!
DeleteI am such a chicken when it comes to scary movies. Well, that and as soon as I start getting attached to one of the characters, they get killed off. I don't think I could watch any of these if I wanted to sleep - ever - again.
ReplyDeleteThat does tend to happen...
DeleteThanks for visiting!
Yeaaah, I don't think I'll be caught watching any of these! Total wuss.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting!
DeleteI haven't seen very many horror movies. I'm a scaredy cat, yet I'm always curious about frightening stories! Great list!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteI have heard of...none of these. But I guess the only horror movies I've ever watched was last year when one of the various movie channels was playing a bunch. We watched one with a possessed kid, I remember that, but we were also both extremely tired and battling with the dog at the same time so I can't remember what it was called. Most of these seem super interesting!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by Writing on a Vintage Typewriter!
Thanks for coming to my little corner of the internet too. :)
DeleteYes!! on 'Victor Frankenstein!!!" James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe together? Sign me up :) Great list. Thanks for coming by My TTT
ReplyDeleteExactly! :) Thanks for visiting.
DeleteGreat list! I'd really like to see The Babadook and It Follows, too, because I've heard some great things about them both. :)
ReplyDeleteThey sound great! Thanks for visiting!
DeleteI've only seen two from your list: The Orphanage and It Follows - the first was super-awesome, while the latter bored me to death. Anyhow, hope you'll enjoy these movies!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteOh gosh, I'm not big on horror movies, I get scared to easily! But I really want to see Frankenstein! Who wouldn't with James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe in it! And I've never heard of the final girl but it looks hilarious! Will definitely take my pillow and go watch that.
ReplyDeleteGreat list
Happy Halloween for tomorrow!
Rachel @ paein-and-ms4tune
Thanks so much! Exactly - who wouldn't want to see it!
DeleteI actually haven't seen any of these! I am pretty bad with ever seeing ANY movies, and even worse with scary ones hahahah. I hope you were able to watch them and scare yourself silly ;) Great list!
ReplyDeleteShannon @ It Starts At Midnight
I go for the full effect and watch with the lights off! :)
DeleteThanks for visiting!
I'm SUCH a baby when it comes to scary movies! i give you credit for being so willing to try them in the first place! i literally watched the paranormal movies and couldn't sleep for days! anytime i heard a noise in the house i was about to dial 911 LOL. great idea for this week's TTT post Lauren!
ReplyDeleteEmily @ Wholly-Books
I've watched enough of them so I'd like to think I'm prepared! :)
