Music Monday: Zenith Salutes... The Teen Sound

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below.

Rules:

Every Monday share a few songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post's url.

When I go to thrift stores, aside from looking at books I also like to check out the vinyl records they have.  I just happened to find Zenith Salutes... The Teen Sound which was released in 1966 as a limited edition at one of my last forays to a local thrift store.  When I went up to the register the cashier sure gave me a funny look... Anyway, the record features some of top teen songs from some of the biggest performers of that year.  These are two of my favorites on the album:

"Turn-Down Day" by The Cyrkle - Just look at that drummer's showmanship!

"The Trip" by Donovan - Definitely that kind of trip...
