So, you know that scene in Planes, Trains, and Automobiles (1987) where John Candy's Del does the "Mess Around" by Ray Charles (1957)? Well, I heard a song on Sirius XM's '40s Junction called "Wizzin' the Wizz" by Lionel Hampton that totally made me think of that classic scene! Enjoy - and what do you think?
Oddly enough, I've never heard of these songs before. I like them a lot.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that!

ReplyDeleteWoot! Glad to hear it!
DeleteRay Charles is fantastic, and I do see how this Lionel Hampton song reminded you of it. Fantastic piano on both.
