Happy Tuesday everyone! Welcome to the first Top Ten Tuesday now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is Books to Pull You Out of a Reading Slump. The books I'm sharing below are recent releases that are all absolutely addicting for one reason or another. Here we go, in alphabetical order:
The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton
Cadaver & Queen by Alisa Kwitney
The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert
Scream All Night by Derek Milman
Sky in the Deep by Adrienne Young
Have you read any of these books? What books have helped you get out of a reading slump? As always thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
I've seen The Belles around a lot, but haven't read much about it. The cover sure is GORGEOUS though which makes me think I need to give it a second glance. :)
ReplyDeleteThe concept is so cool!
DeleteThe Hazel Wood and Scream All Night both look good to me. And Sky in the Deep I can totally see re- reading at some point.
ReplyDeleteI hope you like those two, Greg. :)
DeleteI have Cadaver & Queen on my kindle waiting to be read, I really love the cover for it. It intrigued me haha. Great list!!
ReplyDeleteAmber ♥ The Book Bratz
My TTT
Thanks, Amber!
DeleteWe both have Fresh Ink on our list!!!
ReplyDeleteI also adored Neanderthal Opens the World to the Universe! (lol that title is a mouthful)
Jennilyn @ Rurouni Jenni Reads
It is a mouthful - I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it as well, Jennilyn. :)
DeleteGreat list! I need to get to Children of Blood and Bone soon, I keep hearing nothing but amazing things.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It's marvelous.
DeleteFresh Ink always intrigued me, but I never got around to it! Fab list. My TTT
ReplyDeleteYou may want to give it a shot. Thanks for sharing!
DeleteI've heard really good things about Scream All Night, and I have a copy of Children of Blood and Bone just waiting to be read😊
ReplyDeleteI hope you love them, Tammy!
DeleteChildren of Blood and Bone I really enjoyed, but I couldn't finish The Belles and I really struggled with The Hazel Wood.

I think what helped me with The Belles was that I listened to the audiobook because the production was so good. Otherwise, I don't know if I would have kept going with it.
DeleteI'm really interested in The Belles! I'm thrilled you liked it! Happy Tuesday! :D
ReplyDeleteThanks, Maggie!
DeleteEep. Children of Blood and Bone is STILL gathering dust on my shelf. One day...one day :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll like it when that day comes. :)
DeleteI haven't read any of these yet, but I have Children of Blood and Bone on hold at the library (I think I'll get to read it in a couple months, even though I'm #80 on the waiting list). I would like to read Sky in the Deep as well. They sound like good books.
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed it'll come in soon for you!
DeleteI was really drawn into The Belles setting and Children of Blood and Bone. Can see definitely see how each can pull someone out of a slump.
ReplyDeleteThey're both so vivid. Thanks for coming over, Alicia. :)
DeleteI haven't read these yet, but The Belles, Children of Blood and Bone and Sky in the Deep are all on my TBR because they sound amazing :)
ReplyDeleteThey're all totally worth it. Happy reading!
DeleteI agree that THE HAZELWOOD is an excellent slump treatment. My TTT list
ReplyDeleteFor sure!
DeleteOhh, it's cool to see Neanderthal Opens the Door to the Universe here bc I haven't read it yet but I have it in ebook.
ReplyDeleteI actually haven't read any of these books, which probably makes me a bad book blogger. :/
Either way, I hope you'll all like them if you try them. :)
DeleteI agree with Sky in the deep!! I loved that one <3
ReplyDeleteI still need to read Children of Blood and Bone. It sounds amazing. Also, it’s EVERYWHERE.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
And it's totally worth it!
DeleteI have not read any of these, though Neanderthal is on my TBR. Glad to hear it's a slump buster
ReplyDeleteIt totally deserves all the attention it can get.
DeleteI cannot wait to get my hands on a copy of Scream All Night by Derek Milman!
ReplyDeleteI bet you'll love it, Erica!
DeleteOh, I bought Sky in the Deep last month! I still haven't read it yet, but I love the cover. Hopefully, I'll start soon. Honestly, when I'm in a book slump, I just wander from book to book without finishing any of them. I usually have to not read to get out of it.
ReplyDeleteGreat list!
Happy reading!
DeleteI've seen mixed reviews about The Belles. I bought a hardcover as soon as it came out because it sounded fantastic but I haven't gotten the chance to read it yet. It sounds like a book that could pull someone out of a reading slump. Great list!
ReplyDeleteMegan - My Top Ten Tuesday
The audiobook production of it is pretty fantastic at least. :)
DeleteOh I did just finish Children of Blood and Bone the other day and I loved it! Some of the others are awesome picks too and some I need to read!
ReplyDeleteYay! I hope you'll love them all. :)
DeleteOoh some fantastic books here!
ReplyDeleteI definitely agree with Sky In The Deep - it's excellent!

I'm so glad you link to Goodreads. Make it much easier to add them to our TBR. Which I did right away to Sky in the Deep.
