Music Monday: Catherine Called Birdy (2022)

Welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below.

Rules:

Every Monday share a few songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post's url.

Happy Monday everyone!  This week I'm sharing four of my favorite songs from the soundtrack of Catherine Called Birdy (2022).  This Prime Video movie is based on the 1994 YA book which I haven't had the chance to read yet, but I absolutely loved this movie adaptation.  Bella Ramsey is fantastic as the title character, but Andrew Scott steals the show as her father! If you haven't given this a try yet, I'd say that it's perfect for fans of Enola Holmes and A Knight's Tale.  Anyway, give a listen to Alright (cover performed by Misty Miller), Introductions, Honey to the Bee (cover performed by Misty Miller - by the way, the original was performed by Billie Piper who actually plays Birdy's mother in the movie!), and Young Turks (cover performed by Misty Miller):

  1. Yung Turks is my favorite song of the four. Also, I didn't know this movie was an adaptation. I haven't watched it (or read the book), but now I'm interested. Have a great week!
