Happy Wednesday everyone! Today, I'm sharing my watchlist with you for Summer of Horror 2026, a celebration of all things horror running from June through August and hosted by Tammy @ Books, Bones & Buffy. Horror is a favorite genre of mine, so I have a lot of movies and tv shows that I'd like to try to pick from. Who knows if I'll get to all of these or even change my mind and try something else instead, but this gives me a good place to start! All of the titles are linked back to their Serialized or Letterboxd pages.
TV Shows:
The Boroughs - Netflix - Some friends have started this series already and have really enjoyed what they've watched of it. It looks pretty tempting!
Forever Knight (Season 2 and 3) - DVD - Season 1 was so good! I need to know what's next.
Goddess Bless You from Death (Season 1) - Netflix - I spotted this Thai series on Netflix and it seems like it could be worth a watch.
Gyeongseong Creature (Season 2) - Netflix - Season 1 was outstanding, if brutal, and I need to know where it goes after that final scene in season one.
If Wishes Could Kill (Limited Series) - Netflix - This Korean YA series looks like it has a lot of potential. I've already started this one and it's been quite a ride so far.
NOS4A2 (Season 1 and 2) - Netflix - I really enjoyed Joe Hill's book and I've been meaning tot try the adaptation and now that it's available on Netflix I just might.
Parasyte: The Grey (Limited Series) - Netflix - I've been eyeing this Korean series for awhile now. It looks like it'll be something else!
The Terror (Season 2: Infamy and Season 3: Devil in Silver) - AMC+ - I watched the first season back when it was available on Netflix and loved it. I've got myself a free trial to AMC+ so I'm making these two seasons a priority. I'm so happy to see Dan Stevens in more horror!
The Vampire Lestat (Season 1/ Season 3 of Interview with the Vampire) - AMC+ - Season 1 and 2 were amazing and I can't wait to watch this! Maybe when I take out that free trial, I'll try to get to this. It starts Sunday, June 7th and will have 7 episodes with the finale airing Sunday, July 19th, so I'll have to time my free trial just right!
Movies:
Creepshow 2 - DVD - I just tried this one out. Definitely not nearly as good as the original movie. I also watched this for the 52 Years in 52 Weeks: 2026 challenge.
Dead Talents Society - Netflix - This Taiwanese horror comedy looks like it might be right up my alley. This is also one of my picks for The Podcast Macabre 2026 Horror Challenge.
Evil Dead Burn - Release date: July 10th - The last one of these was probably my favorite of the whole series, so I'm hoping this one will be just as good.
Frailty - DVD - I've been wanting to borrow this from the library for a long time. It's part of my 52 Years in 52 Weeks: 2026 challenge to finally give me the excuse.
Goodnight Mommy (2022) - Prime Video - I really liked the original 2014 film, and I would like to see how this remake goes about it. This is also one of my picks for The Podcast Macabre 2026 Horror Challenge.
Innocent Blood - Tubi - I don't know about you, but this sounds pretty cool. It's also one of my 52 Years in 52 Weeks: 2026 challenge movies.
Sometime Aunt Martha Does Dreadful Things - Tubi - The title really caught my eye when I spotted this one on Tubi. It sounds like a wild ride. It's also one of my Hater Club Movie Challenge 2026 picks.
The Ugly Stepsister - Kanopy - I was hoping to see this one at the movie theater, but it was showing in my area. Luckily, it's available on Kanopy now for only 4 of my 15 free monthly tickets! Anyway, this is also one of my Hater Club Movie Challenge 2026 picks.
Under Paris - Netflix - My mom was telling me she wants to watch this with me on Netflix soon, so we'll find how it is together. It's also one of my 2026 Cult Movie Challenge selections.
What tv shows and movies are you hoping to watch? Have you seen any of these? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

I'm so excited about The Vampire Lestat. I ADORED Interview with the Vampire.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great list, it looks like you have a lot to choose from! I keep hearing good things about The Vampire Lestat, I need to do that free trial thing too😁
ReplyDeleteForever Knight looks kind of fun, the poster kind of reminds of of Blood Ties a bit. This was such a fun list even if I’m a scaredy cat and I don’t watch much horror stuff. It kind of made me want to do a watchlist I can use for Halloween season (when I tend to be braver and watch more scary stuff)
