Welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below. Rules: Every Monday share a few songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s). If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post's url. Happy Monday everyone!  This week I'm sharing a couple of favorites from  Édith Butler .  I just happened to hear these on the Sirius XM channel 163 Ici Musique Chansons and I love her style.  Give a listen to Dan L'Bois feat.   On Friday's I take part in two weekly link ups - The Friday 56, hosted by  Freda's Voice , and Book Beginnings, hosted by  Rose City Reader .  For The Friday 56, you choose a book, a book you have just finished, a book you are about to start, your current read, and share a line or a few lines that grab you (but don't spoil anything) from page 56 or 56% of the way through the ebook. Post it and share your post's url on Freda's most recent Friday 56 post. As for Book Beginnings, you share the first sentence or so and your initial thoughts, impressions, or whatever else it inspires, and then link up your post's url with Rose City Reader.    Happy Friday everyone! This week I'm spotlighting one of my current  Magical Readathon reads,  The Black Company  ( The Chronicles of the Black Company  #1) by Glen Cook .  I've been looking forward to this one.  I've been putting this off for far too long. Beginning: There were prodigi...

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by  That Artsy Reader Girl .  This week's topic is a freebie and I've decided to feature Upcoming Book Adaptations I Can't Wait To Watch.  Here we go  Returning Shows: Good Omens , Season 2 - Honestly, I couldn't have asked for a better adaptation for the first season and I can't wait to see David Tennant's Crowley and Michael Sheen's Aziraphale again. Shadow and Bone , Season 2 - I was really pleased with how the first season brought Alina and the Crows to life. I'm really looking forward to how they handle Siege and Storm and Six of Crows . The Umbrella Academy , Season 3 - This is one of those cases where I much prefer the tv adaptation in comparison to the original graphic novels.  After the ending of season 2, I need to know about The Sparrows! New to the Screen: Cinder by Marissa Meyer - I love The Lunar Chronicles and I'm honestly surprised that there hasn't already been ...

Happy Saturday everyone and welcome to my third 2022 Popsugar Reading Challenge update with mini  reviews!  In March, I completed 5 books for this month for a total of 24 of 50 books for the  2022 Popsugar Reading Challenge .  I've been making some pretty great progress!  Keep reading to see my thoughts on the books I read: ❋   ❋  ❋   ❋ House of Earth and Blood  ( Crescent City  #1) by Sarah J. Maas  is a good start to what could be a fun series.  Yes, be prepared for a lot of info dumping in this huge book, but if you stick with it it gets pretty good.  There's lots of components to keep track of.  For me, this isn't nearly as good as Throne of Glass , but it's still good to try more from the author.  One of these days, I'll have to try the sequel. My review is also on Goodreads . ❋   ❋  ❋   ❋ If you're looking for a stand alone sci-fi novel that primarily focuses on family,  Light Yea...

Happy Saturday everyone!  Today I'm featuring my TBR for the second  Magical Hop-A-Thon  which runs from April 11th through April 24th and is hosted by Rachel ( @rachelceryx_xo ).  This sounds like it's going to be a really fun readathon that celebrates Disneyland Paris's 30th Anniversary.  You can check out Rachel's original announcement video  here .  The goal is to complete at least two prompts - the entry ticket to one of the two parks and then see either an attraction, a show, or a character.  If you like, you can attempt to complete a book for all of the prompts in each park - and hop to the next park as well.  If you decide to jump into the other park, you don't need to complete a second entrance ticket.  My personal goal is to attempt to complete all of the prompts for Disneyland Paris.  I'm only setting myself the two required prompts, so keep reading to see my TBR for this round of the Magical-Hop-A-Thon: Disneyland...

This week I'm spotlighting one of my current  Mythothon reads,  Heavy Time  ( The Company Wars  #4) by C.J. Cherryh .  I've never read one of the books in this series, but I've been told you don't have to read them in order.  This cover is very eye catching isn't ...
