Happy Monday everyone! Today, I'm sharing my first update and mini reviews for the Read Around the World Challenge. Of the 46 books for the 46 European countries on my original tbr, I managed to complete 3 in January. You can check out my profile here on the challenge website here. Keep reading to see my thoughts on the books I read:

The Nazis Knew My Name by Magda Hellinger is an incredible story of survival during the Holocaust. While the writing style in some sections didn't make a five star read for me, it's still an essential read.
❋ ❋ ❋
Discourse on the Origin of Inequality by Jean-Jacques Rousseau is a classic I'm glad I tackled. It's certainly interesting and brings up topics that are still relevant in the present. That said, though, I feel like I should have been back in college to fully appreciate this one.

I really enjoyed A Death in Vienna (Liebermann Papers #1) by Frank Tallis and I think this series might become a favorite. Liebermann and Rheinhardt are a good team and I like that they're already good friends going into this series opener. Another favorite element of this is the setting - Vienna is practically its own character with its richness and just how distinctly it comes across. I'm also very much looking forward to watching the tv adaptation, Vienna Blood.
Have you read any of these books? Are you participated in this challenge? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
