Happy Tuesday! The theme for this week's Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, is Characters Who Are Fellow Book Nerds. I must admit that I'm very excited to see this topic crop up. Here are some of my favorites, in no particular order:
Matilda Wormwood - Matilda by Roald Dahl
Hermione Granger - Harry Potter by J. K. Rowling
Cath Avery - Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Jo March - Little Women by Louisa May Alcott
Liesel Meminger - The Book Thief by Marcus Zusack
Rhett Carter - Brew by David Estes
Klaus Baudelaire - A Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket
Catherine Morland - Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen
Isaac Vanio - Libriomancer by Jim C. Hines
Katy Swartz - Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout - I'm currently reading this one and I'm pleasantly surprised to see she's a book blogger!
OK. I think our lists are at least 50% the same. Good job. I thought everyone would have the same characters on their lists this week so I am happy when I find new characters I didn't know about.

Thanks! I love seeing new character that are just waiting for me to find - and these are the best kind too!
DeleteI share Hermione, Cath, Liesl and Matilda with you :-) I love bookish characters! My TTT!
ReplyDeleteI can't get enough of them! Thanks for visiting!
DeleteWhen I came across Katy's character, I instantly fell in love with her. There are many book nerd characters out there, but I don't think any of them go quite to the same extent as Katy and her book bloggingness!
ReplyDeleteI'm liking her quite a bit so far. Thanks!
DeleteI have Hermione, Matilda and Liesel too! I think it's definitely impossible to leave out Hermione this week.

Seems to be the case. :)
DeleteAhhh, I completely forgot about Katy! I've got Matilda and Hermione though--both of which I'm noticing are quite common on this week's lists (not that I'm surprised!)
ReplyDeleteMe neither! Thanks for commenting!
DeleteI included your top three on my list as well :) I really should've thought of Classic books more because there are lots of good characters to choose from there! Great list :)
ReplyDeleteHere’s my list if you want to have a look :)
Laura @ What's Hot?
Thanks very much for sharing!
DeleteMatilda, Cath and Leisel were on my list as well! I love that you added in Northanger Abbey! Here my list if you want to check it out: http://www.bookworminkorporated.com/book-nerd-characters/
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! She's one of the classic characters that automatically springs to my mind. :)
DeleteMatilda is on a lot of lists this week! I also have Hermione on my list and Klaus! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised Klaus hasn't been showing up on more lists actually. Thanks for visiting!
DeleteKlaus is a great choice and I haven't seen him on many lists today. I'm glad you and I thought of him though! And Hermione will always be bookworm number 1 in my heart! Great list.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my TTT.
Alex @ The Book Banner
In mine too. I hadn't either, I wonder why?
DeleteThanks!
You have some great choices here! It's a nice mix of classics and modern books, too. No book nerd list can ever be complete without Hermione!!
ReplyDeleteMichelle @ Michelle's Minions
Exactly!

I haven't read A Series of Unfortunate Events or The Book Thief yet, but I know I'm going to love those two characters when I finally do. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI hope you do! Happy reading.
DeleteCatherine and Jo March. Two favorites; they're sort of similar in many ways, only Catherine is more innocent than Jo's more "forceful" personality.
ReplyDeleteGreat list - and thanks so much for visiting Dreaming Under the Same Moon.
Quite right and thanks for visiting my blog as well!
DeleteI have never read Matilda which is such a shame and something I'm determined to do. Nice list!
ReplyDeleteNever?! It's so good - I bet you'll love it. :)
DeleteI think Hermione Granger will be on almost every list! Glad to know I am not the only one who put Klaus Baudelaire on their list! Great list! Thanks for stopping by mine!
ReplyDeleteThanks for returning the favor! I've noticed - she's on most and he's hard too find. At least we included him! :)
DeleteGreat picks! Cath, Jo and Katy all made my list, too! I love your inclusions of Catherine Morland!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
Thanks!
DeleteI was going to put Klaus and Matilda! I completely forgot about Liesel lol Great list!
ReplyDeleteAnjie @ Love thy Shelf
Thanks! They're top characters!
DeleteYay for Hermione, Matilda, and Jo March. Three of my very favorite fictional bookworms. I've yet to read OBSIDIAN, but I've seen it on a number of lists today. I think I need to read it ASAP.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
It's a good one so far! I hope you'll enjoy it!
DeleteI didn't participate in TTT this week, because I couldn't think of any bookish characters other than Hermione and Cealeana =P BUT, I forgot about Katy from Obsidian (which I just read last month!) I, too, loved that she was a blogger -- I can't wait to continue on with the series!
ReplyDeleteI was so pleased when I realized that fact about her character! :) Thanks for visiting!
