Music Monday: Me #WithoutMusic

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below. Rules: Every Monday share a few songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s). If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post's url. Happy Monday everyone!  This week I'm spotlighting Taylor Swift - ME! (feat. Brendon Urie) as well as the #WithoutMusic Parody of the music video.  I wouldn't call myself a fan of Swift exactly, but Brendon Urie has one of my favorite voices.  I didn't know what to expect from this song initially, but it really works.  Anyway, I'm s...

Top Ten Tuesday: Settings I’d Like to See More Of (Or At All)

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to the Top Ten Tuesday now hosted by  That Artsy Reader Girl .  This week's topic is Settings I’d Like to See More Of (Or At All).  Here we go, in alphabetical order by place: Cahokia - This Native American city across the Mississippi River from present day St. Louis was at its peak from 1050 CE - 1200 CE with a population between 10,000 - 20,000.  It covered about 6 square miles and 120 mounds.  It was a larger city than London was at the time.  I've never read a work of fiction about this place, but I'd absolutely love to some day. L'Anse aux Meadows, Newfoundland - This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the only officially authenticated Norse site in North America.  I'd love to read a YA novel about Leif Erikson and his crews making land, exploring, and settling here about a thousand years ago.  There's even a living history recreated Viking settlement there now which is featuring in the ...

Happy Monday everyone!  This week I'm spotlighting country favorites from the early 2000s that I used to love that I've recently heard on the radio.  I haven't heard either of them for ages, but I still love them both - "Riding With Private Malone" by David Ball (2001)  & "Suds in the Bucket" by Sara Evans (2003) ....

The Reading Rush TBR

Happy Saturday everyone!  This week I'm taking part in The Reading Rush (previously known as BookTubeAThon) which runs from July 22nd - July 28th.  So many bloggers from around the world take part in this annual readathon that I finally decided I couldn't miss this because it sounds like such fun.  It's all about reading as much as you can during the course the readathon and I'm taking part in the seven official challenges.  Keep reading to see my TBR for this readathon: 1. Read a book with purple on the cover Once & Future ( Once & Future #1) by Amy Rose Capetta and Cori McCarthy  - This sounds like it's going to be an awesome Arthurian retelling - and just look at that cover! 2. Read a book in the same spot the entire time Ms. Marvel, Vol. 9: Teenage Wasteland by G. Willow Wilson - Kamala Khan is hands down one of my favorite current Marvel comics characters and I can't wait to see more of her adventures. 3. Read a book you meant...

The Identity Crisis Book Tag

Happy Thursday everyone!  Today I'm doing something a bit different - a brand new book tag!  I haven't done one of these in a long time, but this one really caught my eye.  The Identity Crisis Book Tag was created by Loretta @ Laughing Listener  and it features a whole bunch of bookish personality quizzes that are right up my alley.  Without further ado, let's get to the tag! Loretta's Rules: 1. Take all the quizzes down below and record your answers somehow. I decided to just copy the text from each quiz and paste it into my post, but screenshots work too! Whatever floats your goat (Yes goat. I SAID WHAT I SAID). 2. NO CHEATING. You get one shot to take each quiz my friends. I’m watching you. ∗Suspicious squinty eyes∗ 3. Use this post to give credit to the creator Loretta @ The Laughing Listener or tag me on twitter @LaughnListener so I can see everyone’s answers!! 4. Tag some friends to spread the fun!
