Wow! I can't believe I've been nominated for the One Lovely Blog Award for the fourth time. Thanks very much to Tina, Wendy, and Shon @ Tangled 'N' Books!
The Rules:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you.
2. List the rules and display the award button.
3. Give seven facts about yourself.
4. Nominate fifteen other bloggers for the award and make sure to notify them.
5. Display the award button on your blog and follow the blogger who nominated you.
I think I'm going to bend the rules a little and just list the seven facts about me since I just did this one less than a month ago.
The Facts:
When I went back to the work at my retail job after being off for several days for Christmas, a customer placed the biggest order I've ever seen for this time of year. Talk about jumping in with both feet!
I took the Christmas decorations down yesterday and my cat was not happy about losing his tree.
Hot chocolate is one of my favorite seasonal beverages.
Pretzel rods dipped in white chocolate and rolled in crushed peppermint are great a accompaniment to my favorite seasonal beverage.
I got two geeky t-shirts for Christmas: one is Jurassic Park and the other features an Albus Dumbledore quote.
The Dumbledore quote is from the Prisoner of Azkaban film: "Happiness can be found in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light."
I've recently watched the movie Top Secret! (1984) starring Val Kilmer, who actually does his own singing in the movie. It's by the same people who made Airplane! and The Naked Gun. My favorite scene has to be the Swedish bookshop sequence with Peter Cushing. The scene is played in reverse to achieve the unique sound and look - the longer it goes the more ridiculous it gets! By the way, when filming they spoke in English, but played backwards it's supposed to sound like Swedish You can watch the scene here. If you're really interested, you can also watch the whole scene in reverse and hear the actors speaking in English.
Thanks again to Tangled 'N' Books for the nomination!

Jurassic Park! I've always wanted a Jurassic Park shirt for some reason. Perhaps the movie series has memories built into it. ;)
ReplyDeleteHot chocolate is awesome! Especially homemade.
Exactly! :)
DeleteYou can't go wrong with the homemade stuff!
The pretzels are superb! A coworker does all kinds of Christmas candy - from all sorts of chocolates, lollipops, hard candy, chocolate covered cherries...mmm...she actually asked me if the peppermint sounded like a good idea. I said yes right away! :)
