The Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings): Illuminae (The Illuminae Files #1) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
These are the rules:
1. Grab a book, any book.
2. Turn to page 56, or 56% on your eReader.
3. Find any sentence (or a few, just don't spoil it) that grabs you.
4. Post it.
5. Add the URL to your post in the link on Freda's most recent Friday 56 post.
I'm also taking part in Book Beginnings, a weekly meme hosted by Rose City Reader. The rules are pretty simple - you share the first sentence or so and your initial thoughts, impressions, or whatever else it inspires. Don't forget to link up your post's url with Rose City Reader.

ReplyDeleteCongrats! :) Thanks for sharing!
DeleteOkay, now I am intrigued. The title and cover have not piqued my interest enough to pick up this book to read, but the excerpts have done it. Thanks for sharing, and for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting mine, too! :)
DeleteUnusual format. I'm definitely curious about this story.
ReplyDeleteMy Friday post features THE LIGHT OF HIDDEN FLOWERS.
The story is pretty fantastic so far! Thanks for sharing!
DeleteI don't know if I want to own this book, but I do want to hold a copy in my hands and just look at it.
ReplyDeleteI've only heard good things about this book though, so I do have high hopes for it to be as good as people have been saying.

DeleteI hope you enjoy Illuminae. I read it a while ago and I loved it; definitely one of my favorite books of 2015.
ReplyDeleteGreat! I'm really liking it so far!
DeleteHow fascinating. Both my kids have read this, and hate it when I read what they like reading. So I will wait until EVERYONE has read it, and then read it. It does look good though. Thanks for the peeks inside.
ReplyDeleteI hope you'll get the chance to eventually because it is fantastic!
DeleteIt's definitely more interesting now seeing your post than it was beforehand for me! I'll have to see if I can put a hold on it at my library one of these days!
ReplyDeleteI hope it will come in soon - definitely interested in what you'll think of it!
DeleteI haven't heard of this one. I'd love for you to check out mine at http://tinyurl.com/LisaKsBookReviewsBTD
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and stopping by my blog!
DeleteI love it when authors use the layout of the book to tell a story, or if they put in things like lists, images etc. in there which purposefully need to tell a story! I hope you enjoy this one, now that you've finally gotten your hands on it! Thanks for sharing :) I hope you have a great week!

I hope you will like it and thanks for sharing!
DeleteI hope you are liking this one, I am not a huge fan of the way it's written. I read a different book that was a bit like it and I didn't like it. I found out I prefer just regular old written style. :)
