Music Monday: Dan Tyminski

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below.

Rules:

Every Monday share one or two of songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post's url.

This week I'm spotlighting Dan Tyminski, a bluegrass musician who is a part of Alison Krauss and Union Station.  I was first truly introduced to his work in O Brother Where Art Thou where he sings "Man of Constant Sorrow" (it wasn't really George Clooney).  A couple of years ago he also had a big Top 40 hit with Avicii for "Hey Brother" (although most of the time on Top 40 radio he wasn't mentioned for his work on the song).

Here he is playing it live at the Crossroads Festival several years back:

Here's the scene at the radio station in the movie where they record the song:

Here's he doing an acoustic live performance of "Hey Brother" - the song starts at 3:36:

Here's Avicii's official video:
