Happy Tuesday everyone! Welcome to the Top Ten Tuesday now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is Things That Make Me Pick Up A Book, but since the last time I did that topic nothing has really changed I've decided to do something entirely different. This week I'm sharing ten books that I'd love to see onscreen - movies, tv, or streaming. I actually did this topic back in 2015, but I've read so many great books since then that deserve a brilliant adaptation.
The Charley Davidson series by Darynda Jones - This would be perfect for fans of Lucifer - I wouldn't mind a crossover between the two either!
The Diviners series by Libba Bray - I don't know about you, but this series totally deserves a franchise.
The Fade Out series by Ed Brubaker - I'd love to see adaptation of this graphic novel series like L.A. Confidential or Chinatown. Plus with technology as it is, we could get some really cool "cameos" - Clark Gable, Dashiell Hammett, Humphrey Bogart, and Desi Arnaz!
The Gentleman Bastard series by Scott Lynch - Please, Netflix. Please. Look someone has already come up with an epic title sequence.
The Great Library series by Rachel Caine - This is one of my favorites series and as a librarian I'd love to see this world and the characters brought to life.
Stalking Jack the Ripper series by Kerri Maniscalco - I just need to see Audrey Rose and Thomas Cresswell on the big screen.
These Vicious Masks series by Tarun Shanker and Kelly Zekas - It's practically the X-Men meets Pride & Prejudice with a leading lady who is Elizabeth Swann meets Claire Bennett. If that doesn't sound great, I don't know what does.
Through the Woods by Emily Carroll - As a limited/ anthology series from the people behind either Channel Zero or The Haunting of Hill House. Please and thank you.
Trail of Lightning (The Sixth World #1) by Rebecca Roanhorse - This would be an absolutely epic post-apocalyptic urban fantasy with series potential.
Welcome to Night Vale by Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor - I love the podcast and this novel was pretty cool as well. I think Netflix or the like might be able to do a live action adaptation justice and possibly expand on the world a bit as well.
Have you read any of these books? What books would you love to see adapted to the big or small screen? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
Nice twist on this week's TTT theme!!

DeleteGreat list! Totally agree with you about Through the Woods and Trail of Lightning - Through the Woods would be a beautiful stop motion series, I think - and I've heard so many people say they think The Diviners should be adapted for the screen.
