Sci-Fi Month - Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Sci-Fi Books With Found Families

Happy Tuesday everyone!  For today's Top Ten Tuesday, in honor of Sci-Fi Month 2020 (Image credit: Photo by Tithi Luadthong on 123RF.com with a quote from Seven Devils by Elizabeth May and Laura Lam), I'm featuring my Favorite Sci-Fi Books With Found Families.  Found family is a trope I'm really thankful for and it's one of my favorite tropes regardless of the genre, but SFF, in my opinion, does it best.  Without further ado, here we go in alphabetical order:

Aurora Burning (The Aurora Cycle #2) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Cress (The Lunar Chronicles #3) by Marissa Meyer

The Disasters by M.K. England

The Long Way To A Small, Angry Planet (Wayfarers #1) by Becky Chambers

Obsidio (The Illuminae Files #3) by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff

Saga, Vol. 9 by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples

Storm of Locusts (The Sixth World #2) by Rebecca Roanhorse

Sword and Pen (The Great Library #5) by Rachel Caine

Sword in the Stars (Once & Future #2) by Amy Rose Capetta and Cory McCarthy

Vicious (Villains #1) by V.E. Schwab

What are some of your favorite found families in fiction?  Are you taking part in Sci-Fi Month this year?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  2. Great list! There's something about found families in sci-fi and fantasy, in particular, that are so satisfying to me. I love the found families in The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet and The Lunar Chronicles. I need to cross Storm of Locusts off my TBR!

  3. I don't read much SFF, but I do love a great found family. Probably my favorite is Harry Potter and the Weasleys. The Weasleys are such a great fictional family. I love them!

    Happy TTT!

  9. I loved found family books, though the only one of these I've read is Vicious! Sydney, Mitch and Victor are a great little found family though. I've read the first two Great Library books, I just need to catch up on the rest of the series.
