  1. I've never read that Crystal cave series. Was always curious. I did read Do Androids dream a while back but I don't actually remember a lot about it...

  10. I wanted to include The Color Purple, but it wasn't old enough for me. It left an impression though. I almost included Flowers for Algernon. That book was heartbreaking.

  12. I've never read The Outlaws of Sherwood, but Robin McKinley's The Hero and the Crown made such an impression on me when I was a young teen.
