Books From The Backlog: The Devil in Music (Julian Kestrel Mysteries #4) by Kate Ross

Happy Thursday everyone! Welcome back to Books from the Backlog, the weekly linkup I'm taking part of which is hosted by Carole's Random Life in Books.  This is a great way to put a spotlight on books that I've had sitting on my shelf for awhile.  I don't know when I'll get to my weekly featured book, but I hope to some time hopefully soon.

This Week's Neglected Book

The Devil in Music (Julian Kestrel Mysteries #4) by Kate Ross

Published: September 1, 1997

Genre: Historical Mystery

My Copy:

Format: Mass Market Paperback

Pages: 496

Where I Acquired It: Library Book Sale

Summary (From Goodreads):

Julian Kestrel, gentleman sleuth and dandy, becomes fascinated with the unsolved case of the murder of a Milanese aristocrat and the disappearance of his protégé, a brilliant young English opera singer. What has become of the singer’s fiancée and the aristocrat’s notoriously surly manservant? Could the murder be tied to Italy’s tumultuous politics? Furthermore, the murdered marquis left a widow whose beauty makes Kestrel’s heart skip faster.

Why Did I Add It?

I haven't read any of the other books in this series, but this sounds like a cool historical mystery to me.

Have you read this thoughts or would you read it?  Would you recommend it to me?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
