Top Ten Tuesday: Books That Have Been On My Shelf Since Before I Started Blogging That I STILL Haven't Read Yet

Happy Tuesday and welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week's theme is Books That Have Been On My Shelf Since Before I Started Blogging That I Still Haven't Read Yet.  Honestly, I try to keep up on reading books that I buy, but I won't lie to myself or you - I have a serious case of tsundoku (aka letting books pile up on my shelves).

Memoirs of  a Geisha by Arthur Golden

Dune (Dune Chronicles #1) by Frank Herbert

Inkheart (Inkworld #1) by Cornelia Funke

Big Fish by Daniel Wallace

Finnikin of the Rock (Lumatere Chronicles #1) by Melina Marchetta

Cold Days (The Dresden Files #14) by Jim Butcher

The Tennant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte

Shadow and Bone (The Grisha #1) by Leigh Bardugo

Eragon (The Inheritance Cycle #1) by Christopher Paolini

Catch-22 (Catch-22 #1) by Joseph Heller

I need to get on the ball and read these!  How about you?  What books have been gathering dust on your shelves since before you started blogging?  As always, thanks for visiting and perhaps even commenting on my blog!

  1. The Husband has been trying to get me to read Dune since I started blogging, I told him I would read it if he would read one book that I recommend and he won't. So we are at an impasse. :p

  3. Hi!

I have fond memories of Eragon. Although the series got a little tedious towards the end.

Finnick of the Rock was one of the first books I found after joining Goodreads and I've still not read it either! I did manage to read Inkheart though. I wasn't overally impressed by it but I know others love it.

I loved this weeks TTT it reminds me that there are so many books I still need to read!

    Happy Reading!

  5. I haven't read any of the books on your list, but I have been wanting to read Inkheart and Finnick of the Rock as well! I had never heart of Inkheart before a character in a book I was reading was reading it. Turns out it's very popular, and I have just never seen it around, haha.
Ink and Bone has been on my TBR for a long time now as well, but I think I might be able to get to it soon! I really hope you'll enjoy all of these once you get to them.

  7. Memoirs of a Geisha, Catch 22 and Eragon are still struggling for a place somewhere in my TBR list. But Inkheart was fantastic!! You can read it with my blessing. LOL. Here's my TTT: http://marelithalkink.blogspot.co.za/2016/08/ten-books-that-have-been-on-your-shelf.html

  8. I read Shadow and Bone like 2 years ago and (unpopular opinion) I didn't fangirl over it as much as everyone else. ugh. I've been eyeing Catch-22 and I'm still completely undecided over it. ohwell ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I hope you devour these books soon and enjoy them! :D

  9. Oh I've got a few of these on my TBR too. I've only read one - Catch 22, had to read that one in High School. I love the film Big Fish, I didn't realize it was a novel? Adding that to my TBR! Here's my list this week. :)

  10. I haven't read Shadow and Bone either! There was even a time I had the book checked out from the library for a while and I still didn't read it! I've heard great things about Finnkin of the Rock, but it's not on my TBR for some reason.

    1. Maybe we'll both get to it sometime. Finnikin of the Rock is on my reading list for a reading challenge so I should be getting to it soon.

  11. So many books I still haven't read despite having them within arm's reach. The biggest irony about this theme is that these lists are enticing me to add more books to my TBR!

  15. I absolutely adore the Inkheart trilogy. It's one of the reasons I love Middle Grade novels so much. I've been meaning to reread Shadow and Bone and finally reading the rest of the series.

  25. I did a purge last year and actually removed some books from my TBR pile that had been on it the longest because I admitted to myself I really didn't want to read them. May I recommend Eragon on audio books I loved it in that format.

Thanks for dropping by my blog. :-)

  29. Haha coincidentally, I actually have been wanting to read Catch 22 for a good long while too! It's one of those books that I keep putting off because it's a classic and I have this misguided notion that it'll be boring. I should really read it sometime!
