Happy Tuesday everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday which is is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. All this month I'm featuring fantasy in honor of Wyrd & Wonder 2025 (a month long celebration of all things fantasy co-hosted by Lisa @ Dear Geek Place, imyril @ There’s Always Room For One More, Ariana @ The Book Nook, Annemieke @ A Dance With Books, and Jorie @ Jorie Loves A Story with artwork by Yuri Arcurs Photography). This week's topic is Books That Feature Travel. but in honor of Wyrd & Wonder's prompts challenge I'm featuring some covers that fit the theme Tall Ships. Some of these are books I've enjoyed and others are one on my tbr. Without further ado, here we go in alphabetical order by title:
Books I Enjoyed
And All The Seas Beheld by J. Ellis - I can't recommend this novel enough!
On Stranger Tides by Tim Powers - This was a fun historical fantasy that also inspired Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.
Red Seas Under Red Skies (Gentleman Bastard #2) by Scott Lynch - This whole series is one of my favorites - and this cover is definitely eye catching.
The Ship of the Dead (Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard #3) by Rick Riordan - I loved this series, and I would be delighted if one day it got adapted given how impressed I was with the Disney+ Percy Jackson and the Olympians.
Books On My TBR
Break Wide the Sea (Break Wide the Sea #1) by Sara Holland - This will be released on November 11th, 2025 and it sounds like it will be good.
The House of the Four Winds (One Dozen Daughters #1) by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory - I haven't read much of these authors, but this does sound cool. This fantasy adventure series opener has been on my tbr for quite awhile now.
The Mermaid, the Witch, and the Sea (The Mermaid, the Witch, and the Sea #1) by Maggie Tokuda-Hall - It sounds like this has a lot of stuff I like in it. It's been on my tbr for too long.
Night of Knives (Novels of the Malazan Empire #1) by Ian C. Esslemont - I've been meaning to read more books set in this world.
The Red Wolf Conspiracy (The Chatrand Voyage #1) by Robert V.S. Redick - I really like the look of this cover.
Ship of Magic (Liveship Traders #1) by Robin Hobb - I've been meaning to catch up on this author and this series sounds (and looks) pretty great.

DeleteI get seasick really badly, so I don't like travel by boat IRL. I do like a good boat cover, though. They always signal adventure!
