Magical Readathon: Orilium - Lightfall: Old Favour Pass Bingo 2025 - Wrap Up & Mini Reviews

Happy Sunday everyone!  From Monday, December 15th through today, I participated in Lightfall: Old Favour Pass Bingo 2025 as part of the Magical Readathon, hosted by G. @ Book Roast.  I managed to complete four of the things on my original tbr which you can see here.  Without further ado, keep reading to see what I got up to for this mini readathon:

Play A Game

Legendary: Big Trouble in Little China - I got to play around of this and it was a lot of fun (if complicated since we played with a different mastermind and hero characters this time around). We ended up tying the board, but I was the winner of the players with the highest number of villain victory points - only by four!  Anyway, I love the movie and I highly recommend the movie if you've never seen it.

300-400 Pages

❋
Chasing the Moon by A. Lee Martinez is easily my least favorite from this author so far. This one just wasn't for me. I usually like his weird and off the wall sense of humor and style, but it just didn't quite work nearly as well as I wanted it to with this one.

My review is also on Goodreads and The StoryGraph.

Cosy

❋ ❋ ❋
The Nashville Sound: Bright Lights and Country Music by Paul Hemphill is quite a time capsule, but it's a very interesting and informative piece of journalism. I honestly wasn't expecting it to come across that way. I was pleasantly surprised to see Jeannie C. Riley gets as much page time since she's part of the newer more pop sounding country compared to the traditional stuff. I have a 45 of her song Harper Valley PTA that I like to listen to from time to time. Also, it sounds especially cool when it's slowed down to 33!

My review is also on Goodreads and The StoryGraph.

Stroll

My choice: So it was mostly either cold and snowy, or warm and rainy whenever I was hoping go on my walk. But, yesterday on my day off I went to a couple of huge antique markets/ stores, so I got my fair share of walking in.  Plus, I got to get in some good people watching and got too look at a lot of interesting items.  I even bought myself a few cool post cards for my Postcrossing hobby.

Have you read any of these books or planning on doing any thing fun for this challenge?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
