Happy Tuesday, everyone! This week's Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, is Authors I REALLY Want To Meet. Yes, REALLY is in all caps. There are so many I'd love to meet, but I going to simplify things for myself and choose authors who are currently living. Here we go, this list is off the top of my head:
J.K. Rowling
Jim Butcher
Kevin Hearne
Neil Gaiman
Maggie Stiefvater
Marissa Meyer
John Green
Patrick Ness
Laini Taylor
David Estes
What do you think of my list? Would you like to meet any of these awesome authors, too?
Great list! I completely agree about Marissa Meyer. I LOVE The Lunar Chronicles series so much.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog. They all seem like fascinating people.
DeleteWe have a couple in common, JK Rowling and Maggie Stiefvater were both on my list too.

Can't go wrong with either of them - thanks for stopping by.
DeleteSo many amazing picks this week, I agree with you on all of them and there's some overlap on our lists! So many incredible authors!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
So many options - I think I could have gone on forever!
DeleteAll I want is to meet JKR! And Maggie Stiefvater .... and GRRM, of course. And Caroline Lawrence. I love her.
ReplyDeleteI should have added GRRM!
DeleteMarissa Meyer and Maggie Stiefvater made my list. I cannot believe that I forgot J K Rowling!!
ReplyDeleteAmanda
You do have some great ones regardless.
DeleteRowling, Stiefvater, and Ness were very popular this week. They were definitely among the first authors I thought of. Great list!
ReplyDeleteYes, they were! Thanks for visiting. :)
DeleteWhat a great list! Rowling was on my list, and Neil Gaiman. Marissa Meyer, John Green, and Kevin Hearne probably should have been!
ReplyDeleteI forgot that I have met Maggie Stiefvater when I wrote my post. She gave a talk on writing at a library not too far from us, so I took my budding author to hear her. But I actually haven't read any of her books yet! My daughter (the writer) loves the Raven Boys series and enjoyed the Ballad books as well.
Very cool! You definitely should check out her books - especially The Raven Boys and The Scorpio Races. I haven't read the Ballad books yet. Thanks for visiting my blog. :)
DeleteJK Rowling for sure! I didn't put her on my list but she's a definite must :DD

New follower, BTW. I love your blog.
DeleteYou're welcome - and thanks for following by the way. I'm returning the favor. :)
DeleteRowling and Stiefvater made my list as well, and I really should've added John Green too. Great list, and thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome and thanks for visiting mine. He seems like an awesome person doesn't he.
DeleteWe have some in common! Also Jim Butcher would probably have been on my Top 15 :) I love his books.
ReplyDeleteCheers! (TTT newbie here)

He's really fantastic isn't he! Thanks for stopping by my blog.
DeleteGreat choices! I really need to read Patrick Ness and Laini Taylor. I have heard so many great things. :)
ReplyDeleteBrin @ Brin's Book Blog
Thanks! They are both geniuses in my opinion. I hope you like them. :)
DeleteNo idea how I forgot John Green- I adore that man!
ReplyDeleteHe is pretty awesome! :) DFTBA!
DeleteI've not read any of Laini Taylor's books (I know, I know, I need to - and I will!) I think anyone that is willing to rock that pink of hair would have to be a pretty fun person to meet.
ReplyDeleteI've only read the first two Daughter of Smoke and Bone books (I don't want the story to end), but she seems like she would be great. :)
DeleteGood call on Patrick Ness. I'm hoping to meet him at BEA. His Chaos Walking series was brilliant.
