Happy Tuesday and welcome to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. The theme this week is Books I've Read So Far In 2015. I've read quite a few good ones so this will be a little challenging! Here they are in order from most recent with my reviews linked:
Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle #3) by Maggie Stiefvater
The Alex Crow by Andrew Smith
Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel
Ms. Marvel (Volume 1 and Volume 2) by G. Willow Wilson
A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab
The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins
City of Savages by Lee Kelly
The Martian by Andy Weir
Shutter by Courtney Alameda
The Cure for Dreaming by Cat Winters
Bonus:
The Girl from Felony Bay by J.E. Thompson
What do you think of my favorites from this year? Do we share any titles? Have any recommendations for me? By the way, I love comments and I always try to respond to each!
Great list! We share Girl on the Train, that book was such a page turner! I loved it. You've got some on here I haven't heard of yet. I love seeing everyone's recommendations.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It was so great - I always like a good unreliable character. Hope you find some good ones!

DeleteGreat list! I have a copy of The Cure for Dreaming but I haven't read it yet. The Martian and Station Eleven were on my top ten list last year!
ReplyDeleteI just got to them a little late. :) I hope you like The Cure for Dreaming!
DeleteStation Eleven made my list, too and had I read Blue Lily, Lily Blue this year, that would of course be on the list! I LOVE that series! Based on Girl On A Train, I highly recommend Marrow by Tarryn Fisher and Swerve by Vicki Petersson!!

ReplyDeleteI liked Ms. Marvel, but I wasn't totally hooked into it until volume 3 and now I can't wait for more of it to come out.
I have volume three on hold at the library and I can't wait until it arrives!
DeleteThe Martian is so amazing! I really loved it. Really enjoyed Ms. Marvel as well... and I've been wanting to read The Alex Crow (I really like everything by this author that I've read so far.) Great list!

Obsessive Compulsive Reader
Thanks! It's great and I hope you like it.
DeleteBlue Lily, Lily Blue has been on so many lists and I understand why because it's such a great book. I think it's the best from the series so far. I can't wait to read Shutter! I heard many awesome things about it and it sounds exactly like my cup of tea.
ReplyDeleteLovely list. :)
I've noticed! I just love the entire series. :) Shutter was fantastic and I bet you will like it.
DeleteI've only read the first book in the Raven Cycle series. I was a bit disappointed as it wasn't as good as her books Lament and Ballard. Maybe I need to try again. My TTT @Crushingcinders
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried either of those yet, but I have to!
DeleteYay for BLLB ! So many books to check, my head's immediately got stuck The Cure For Dreaming though.
ReplyDeleteYay! That's definitely an awesome one to go for for first!
DeleteI seriously need to read The Alex Crow! I love me some Andrew Smith!
ReplyDeleteThen you can't miss it! :)
DeleteI have V.E Schwab & Paula Hawkins in my TBR pile and with so much hype on it, I might read it sooner! Great list and thank you for stopping by earlier.
ReplyDeleteJane @ the bookdragon
Thanks for visiting mine too. I'm pretty sure Schwab is a genius so you might have to check her out first! :)
DeleteBlue Lily, Lily Blue is one that I need to read, just to get ready for The Raven King. Maybe as the release date gets closer. Thanks for stopping by earlier. Happy Reading!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean. I may need to re-read the series!
DeleteGreat list! I'd like to read A Darker Shade of Magic soon, and I'm really enjoying Ms. Marvel - I'm looking forward to the release of Vol.4 later this year!
