Music Monday: Songs I Didn't Think I'd Like, Pt. 2

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below.

Rules:

Every Monday share one or two of songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post's url.

"Love Yourself" by Justin Bieber (2015) - Totally didn't expect to like this - I mean, it's Justin Bieber after all.  Of course, it probably worked in its favor that I didn't realize it was one of his songs when I first heard it.  I liked it right off the bat when I started hearing it on the radio, then later when I realized it was by him, I think I was in denial that I actually liked a Justin Bieber song.  I still kind of am actually... although, Ed Sheeran is one of the writers, so that makes me feel a bit better about the whole thing.

"7 Years" by Lukas Graham (2015) - For some reason, when I first heard this on the radio after the first ten seconds or something I decided I wasn't interested.  Then, I caught it somewhere in the middle and got absolutely hooked.  I have no idea why I didn't think I'd like it at first...but anyway this pop-soul hybrid has quickly become a new favorite.  Another thing I didn't realize until now is that they're a Danish group.

By the way, Happy Independence Day!

  1. I actually didn't think I'd like Love Yourself either! I've been a pretty anti-Bieber person but that song is really good and I love singing along with it! 7 Years is also such a good song!!
