Happy Monday and welcome to Music Monday everyone! For the entire month of October, I'll be featuring music to get us in the Halloween spirit. This week I'm spotlighting a couple of my favorite songs used in one of my favorite horror tv shows, Channel Zero. I feel like I don't talk about just how much I loved all four seasons of this anthology show (each season is a new story). If you haven't tried the series, I highly recommend it. It's a real underrated gem. My two personal favorite season was season 2, No-End House, (season 4, The Dream Door, is a close runner up) and both of the songs below are used to great effect and both fit the tone of the story of the season really well. Give a listen to Billy Murray's The Ghost That Never Walked (1904) and Glass Animals's Gooey (2014):
I haven't listened to much of Glass Animals music, but Gooey is my favorite song by them. I've watched a few episodes of Channel Zero, but I never finished season one. I have heard about season two though, and it seems interesting.
ReplyDeleteSeason 1 was good, but season 2 is better. :)
DeleteGooey and Black Mambo are my two favorites from them. Thanks for linking up!
