Happy Tuesday everyone! Welcome to the Top Ten Tuesday now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is a Freebie, so I'm featuring my Best Of 2021... So Far. These aren't just books that have been released in 2021, but take in all five star books I've read so far this year. Without further ado, here we go in alphabetical order:
Heartstopper: Volume One (Heartstopper #1) by Alice Oseman
I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter by Erika L. Sanchez
Litany of Dreams (Arkham Horror #19) by Ari Marmell
The Magic Fish by Trung Le Nguyen
The Three Locks (Sherlock Holmes Adventure #4) by Bonnie MacBird
Titan Song (The Carter Archives #3) by Dan Stout
Twilight of Avalon (Twilight of Avalon #1) by Anna Elliott
What are some of your favorite reads of 2021 so far? Have you read any of these books? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
Oh nice. Litany of dreams... love the look of that!
ReplyDeleteIt was such a pleasant surprise!
DeleteGreat list! I love the title of The Mesmerising Girl (even if I am too lazy to write it out in full!) Glad you found some great reads.
ReplyDeleteThis is my TTT for this week: just the last ten books I have bought.
That whole series was really cool. Thanks for coming over, Michael!

I'm so glad I decided to read that one. It's worth it!
DeleteI was really hoping to see Twilight of Avalon in here. :-) Discovered it thanks to you and really liked the series too. Such a unique voice, and Isolde is just about awesome.
ReplyDeleteOh yes! I'm glad you loved it too, Lex. I need to jump into the rest of the series asap.
DeleteSo happy to see Titan Song on here! And I have Slay on my TBR, I'd love to get to it at some point😁
ReplyDeleteThe Carter Archives deserves all the attention it can get, Tammy. :)
DeleteSlay is wonderful and I hope you'll enjoy it too.
Heartstopper was super cute! I have several of the others on my TBR, too.

DeleteA LOT of great books here!
ReplyDelete2021 has at least been good reading so far.
DeleteI haven't read any of the books on your list. Some of my best reads so far this year include the following:
ReplyDelete1. The The Deep Dark Descending by Allen Eskens
2. The Three Mothers: How the Mothers of Martin Luther King, Jr., Malcolm X, and James Baldwin Shaped a Nation by Anna Malaika Tubbs
3. Looking for Salvation at the Dairy Queen by Susan Gregg Gilmore
4. Just Like That by Gary D. Schmidt
5. Diagnosis: Solving the Most Baffling Medical Mysteries by Lisa Sanders MD
6. The Little Book of Lost Words: Collywobbles, Snollygosters, and 86 Other Surprisingly Useful Terms Worth Resurrecting by Joe Gillard
Ooh, I might have to try that last one! Thanks for coming over.
DeleteI've been in a bit of a reading slump this year so I've not read as much as I would have liked, but my favourite books so far have been Olive, Mabel & Me by Andrew Cotter and The Silvered Serpents by Roshani Chokshi.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2021/06/01/top-ten-tuesday-318/
I need to try more from Chokshi one of these days. Thanks for coming over!
DeleteI do love that cover for The Girl From Everywhere. :)
I haven't read any of these yet but Slay and I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter are both on my TBR so I'm glad to hear you loved them both.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy them when you get there!
DeleteI've not read any of these books, but I am intrigued by the Holmes series. I haven't delved much into Holmes of any kind, but have plans to do that soon and will have to keep that series in mind too.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with them, Kristi!
DeleteGreat list! I have both Slay and Titan Strong on my TBR list. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy Titan Song!
DeleteGreat list!! I love Heartstopper!! I have Slay on my TBR and I'm hoping to read it this summer!
ReplyDeleteI need to get caught up with Heartstopper - it was so delightful.
DeleteI've heard so many good things about Slay. So glad to see it make your best list so far for 2021.
ReplyDeleteAfter it I will need to read everything that author will ever write. :)
