Wyrd & Wonder 2025 - Announcement & TBR

Happy Thursday everyone!  Today I'm sharing my  tbr for Wyrd & Wonder 2025 which is a month long celebration of all things fantasy co-hosted by Lisa @ Dear Geek Place, imyril @ There’s Always Room For One More, Ariana @ The Book Nook, Annemieke @ A Dance With Books, and Jorie @ Jorie Loves A Story (artwork by Yuri Arcurs Photography).  I always love participating in Lisa and imyril's Sci-Fi Month in November and I've loved taking part in Wyrd & Wonder these last few years.  It's such a cool way to challenge myself to read more fantasy.  Anyway, I have a lot of good stuff planned around my part of the internet this month - and my regular weekly posts will have a distinct fantasy flavor.  You can follow the Bluesky account here and there's even a Discord server called Otherworlds to keep track of all the chatter this month.  Without further ado, let's get to what I hope to read this month.  No guarantees that'll I'll be able to work all of these in, but I'll give it my best try and this gives me a great potential reading list:

The Buried Giant by Kazuo Ishiguro - I've had this on my tbr for way too long - it's time to check it off.

Fang Fiction by Kate Stayman-London - Honestly, this sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

Hero's Song (The Songs of Eirren #1) by Edith Pattou - I've had the book two sitting on my shelf for a long time. It's time to start the series.

The Holver Alley Crew (The Streets of Maradine #1) by Marshall Ryan Maresca - This series sounds like it's going to be right up my alley.

Immortal by Sue Lynn Tan - I'm really excited to read this one given how much I loved The Celestial Kingdom series.  I'm reading this for Book Riot's 2025 Read Harder Challenge.

Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit (Moribito #1) by Nahoko Uehashi - This was recommended to me and I have to say this Japanese YA fantasy adventure sounds amazing.  I'm reading this for Book Riot's 2025 Read Harder Challenge.

A Murder of Mages (The Maradine Constabulary #1) by Marshall Ryan Maresca - These just sound fun.

Saint City Sinners (Dante Valentine #4) by Lilith Saintcrow - It's time to catch up on this series.

Shadows of Self (Mistborn #5) by Brandon Sanderson - I especially loved book four so I can't wait to see where the series goes from there.

The Silverblood Promise (The Last Legacy #1) by James Logan - I've only heard great things about this and I can't wait to try it.

Sword Catcher (The Chronicles of Castellane #1) by Cassandra Clare - I'm just looking forward to trying a whole new thing from her, honestly.

Unholy Ghosts (Downside Ghosts #1) by Stacia Kane - This sounds like it could be a fun urban fantasy series opener.  It's been sitting on my shelf for too long, so it will be good to finally check it off my tbr.

Are you taking part in Wyrd & Wonder this year?  Have you read any of these books?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
