Wyrd & Wonder 2025 - The Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings): The Silverblood Promise (The Last Legacy #1) by James Logan
On Friday's I take part in two weekly link ups - The Friday 56, currently hosted by Anne @ My Head Is Full of Books, and Book Beginnings, hosted by Rose City Reader. For The Friday 56, you choose a book, a book you have just finished, a book you are about to start, your current read, and share a line or a few lines that grab you (but don't spoil anything) from page 56 or 56% of the way through the ebook. Post it and share your post's url on Freda's most recent Friday 56 post. As for Book Beginnings, you share the first sentence or so and your initial thoughts, impressions, or whatever else it inspires, and then link up your post's url with Rose City Reader.
Happy Friday everyone! In honor of Wyrd & Wonder 2025 (a month long celebration of all things fantasy co-hosted by Lisa @ Dear Geek Place, imyril @ There’s Always Room For One More, Ariana @ The Book Nook, Annemieke @ A Dance With Books, and Jorie @ Jorie Loves A Story with artwork by Yuri Arcurs Photography), all of my Friday posts this month will feature my one of my Wyrd & Wonder 2025 reads. This week I'm spotlighting The Silverblood Promise (The Last Legacy #1) by James Logan. I've heard a lot of great things about this one, so I hope it lives up to the hype.
The tavern was called the Pathfinder's Gambit, though it's patrons referred to it as "the Armpit," or simply just "the Pit," on account of its stale odor and the fact that its interior rarely saw sunlight.
56:
"True... though my expulsion had more to do with the fact that I killed a fellow student.
Are you participating in Wyrd & Wonder? Have you read this book? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
I adored this book, so much fun!
ReplyDeleteGood to know!
DeleteEww...that tavern sounds like a...pit. Yuck. And then on page 56 the casual way the character comments about killing a fellow student. I am intrigued by both excerpts.
ReplyDeleteIt really sets the scene. :)
DeleteI've never read it, but I'm betting the Armpit isn't a tavern where fine upstanding individuals spend time.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling you're right. :D
