Wyrd & Wonder 2025 - Top Ten Tuesday: Upcoming Fantasy Books I'm Looking Forward To

wyrd & wonder 2025 celebrate the fantastic - mermaid underwater

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday which is is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  All this month I'm featuring fantasy in honor of Wyrd & Wonder 2025 (a month long celebration of all things fantasy co-hosted by Lisa @ Dear Geek Place, imyril @ There’s Always Room For One More, Ariana @ The Book Nook, Annemieke @ A Dance With Books, and Jorie @ Jorie Loves A Story with artwork by Yuri Arcurs Photography).  This week's topic is Animal Companions (These animals can be real or fantasy!) (submitted by P.S. I Love Books). but in honor of the final week of Wyrd & Wonder I'm featuring some Upcoming Fantasy Books I'm Looking Forward To.  Without further ado, here we go in order by release date:

Lady's Knight by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner - Release date: June 3rd, 2025 - These two authors make a great team and I like the sound of A Knight's Tale meets the Lady Jane series.

Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab - Release date: June 10th, 2025 - V.E. Schwab is one of my all time favorite authors so of course this is my most anticipated release!

A Master of Monsters (A Mastery of Monsters #1) by Liselle Sambury - Release date: July 29th, 2025: A YA dark academia fantasy series opener that has been compared to both Ninth House and Legendborn.  Those two are a couple of my favorites so I hope I'll like this.  Plus, I've liked what I've read from this author in the past.

Hemlock & Silver by T. Kingfisher - Release date: August 19th, 2025 - T. Kingfisher is one of my favorite authors and this is her dark retelling of Snow White, so I can't wait!

The Good Vampire's Guide to Blood and Vampires by Jamie D'Amato - Release date: August 26th, 2025 - Honestly, this just sounds like delightful fun.  It's been compared to both Heartstopper and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Katabasis by R.F. Kuang - Release date: August 26th, 2025 - Kuang is another one of my favorites, and I think this one sounds like it could be a favorite.

The Maiden and Her Monster by Maddie Martinez - Release date: September 9th, 2025 - This sounds like it will be a fantastic reimagining of Jewish folklore.  It has been described as for fans of Katherine Arden, so I'm looking forward to it.

I Killed the King by Rebecca Mix and Andrea Hannah - Release date: September 16th, 2025 - Okay, this sounds cool - YA fantasy mystery sounds pretty cool.  Plus, it's getting compared to One of Us is Lying and Knives Out and I like both of us, especially Knives Out.

Brigands & Breadknives (Legends & Lattes #2) by Travis Baldree - Release date: November 11th, 2025  - I don't know if I can express how excited I am to return to this world!

The Spell For Unravelling (The Buried and the Bound #3) by Rochelle Hassan - Release date: April 28th, 2026- I don't know how I'll be able to wait for so long for this finale!  Both book one and two were amazing - and totally hidden gems - so my expectations are sky high for this one!

Are you looking forward to any of these books?  Are you participating in Wyrd & Wonder this year?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
