Happy Tuesday everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday which is is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. All this month I'm featuring fantasy in honor of Wyrd & Wonder 2025 (a month long celebration of all things fantasy co-hosted by Lisa @ Dear Geek Place, imyril @ There’s Always Room For One More, Ariana @ The Book Nook, Annemieke @ A Dance With Books, and Jorie @ Jorie Loves A Story with artwork by Yuri Arcurs Photography). This week's topic is Ways in Which My Blogging/Review Style Has Changed Over Time (submitted by Susan @ Bloggin’ ’bout Books). but in honor of Wyrd & Wonder's prompts challenge I'm featuring some covers that fit the theme Beneath The Waves. Some of these are books I've enjoyed and others are one on my tbr. Without further ado, here we go in alphabetical order by title:
Books I've Enjoyed
The Adventures of Amina Al-Sirafi (Amina Al-Sirafi #1) by Shannon Chakraborty - I can't wait for book two which is supposed to be released in September. I hope it gets an epic cover like this one.
Daughter of the Siren Queen (Daughter of the Pirate Queen #2) by Tricia Levenseller - Both books in this duology were both pretty great.
The Deep by Rivers Solomon with Daveed Diggs, William Hutson, and Jonathan Snipes - This is novella is pretty heavy, but it's a must read.
Deep Wizardry (Young Wizards #2) by Diane Duane - I loved this YA series, but this one was particularly special to me.
The Girl From the Sea by Molly Knox Ostertag - I wouldn't mind seeing more from this world in the future. If you haven't tried this graphic novel, I have a feeling you'd like it if you also enjoyed the movie Luca.
The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman - I loved this when I read it 12 years ago and I miss the world and characters, but honestly given the situation with the author I can't say I recommend it anymore.
Books On My TBR
Into the Drowning Deep (Rolling in the Deep #1) by Mira Grant - I love this author (who also writes as Seanan McGuire!) and I've been meaning to read this horror fantasy for awhile now.
A Letter to the Luminous Deep (The Sunken Archive #1) by Sylvie Cathrall - This sounds charming and it's been recommended for fans of Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries.
Of Poseidon (The Syrena Legacy #1) by Anna Banks - This YA series opener has been on my tbr for ages. Maybe one of these days I'll eventually get around to it.
A Song Below Water (A Song Below Water #1) by Bethany C. Morrow - I'm always on the look out for mermaid/ siren books, and this one sounds like it could be intriguing.
Have you read any of these books? Are you participating in Wyrd & Wonder this year? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
I really like this prompt and the fact you've read many of these books make it even better.

DeleteI read about Anna's and Tricia's books way back when but never read either one (despite owning Anna's for a while). Both did sound interesting in their own unique ways. :)
ReplyDeleteAnna's definitely sound intriguing.
