Magical Readathon: Orilium - Choose Your Own Adventure: Year In Aeldia 2025, The Boardgame - October Update
Happy Sunday everyone! Today I'm sharing my thoughts on the book I read this month for Choose Your Own Adventure: Year In Adelia, The Boardgame, an additional challenge to G. @ Book Roast's Magical Readathon. You can see my full tbr here. Without further ado, check out my mini review for my October book below:
❋ ❋
The Divide by Jeremy Robinson is my first book by this author, so I didn't have any expectations going in aside from seeing all the positive ratings and reviews. The concept of this story sounded so cool and it has a lot of potential, but honestly I was somewhat put off by his writing style. How he writes about the lead female character and introduces her just didn't sit quite right with me. Also, it could have used another round of edits. Some turns of phrase were just plain awkward.
My review is also on Goodreads and The StoryGraph.
Next Month:
November - 11C Visit the Mage Tower (you spot a Mage Tower. You always wanted to visit one, this is perfect. Although you never thought you’d be going into one with such a silly motive hehe You storm it with the 7 Implings at your heels.) - read a fantasy book
My choice: The Birth of a King (The Legends of Kinthoria #1) by Deborah Marsh and Carol Marsh - I don't often read Christian fantasy, but this sounds like it has potential. Plus, those three guys in the background look like they've been modeled after Legolas, Aragorn, and Boromir.
Have you read this book and are you participating in this challenge? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
