Top Ten Tuesday: All-Time Favorite Authors

This week's theme for Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme by The Broke and the Bookish, is All-Time Favorite Authors.  This is going to be a hard one, but I'm going to try to narrow it down to ten.  Here we go, in alphabetical order:

Douglas Adams

Jim Butcher

Roald Dahl

Arthur Conan Doyle

Neil Gaiman

Stephen King

Terry Pratchett

J.K. Rowling

Maggie Stiefvater

J.R.R. Tolkien

I did it - and I can't believe I narrowed it down to ten!  I think I had around 25 to start with but some how got it cut down.  Wow!  So, then, what do you think of my list?  Do we share any favorites?

  6. I'm still kicking myself for leaving out J.R.R. Tolkien. J.K. Rowling made my list too. And Jim Butcher.

Douglas Adams is a great one too. And Neil Gaiman. Love his work.

I really want to give Maggie Stiefvater and Terry Pratchett a try someday.

    Great list!

  8. LOL -- it's so hard to pick only ten, isn't it? I love Rowling, King, and Gaiman as well. I need to read more of Stiefvater's books. I've only read the first book in the Mercy Falls series. My 13 yo daughter is a big Stiefvater fangirl and keeps telling me to get with the program. Ha! Guess I better :)
