This week's theme for Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme by The Broke and the Bookish, is All-Time Favorite Authors. This is going to be a hard one, but I'm going to try to narrow it down to ten. Here we go, in alphabetical order:
Douglas Adams
Jim Butcher
Roald Dahl
Arthur Conan Doyle
Neil Gaiman
Stephen King
Terry Pratchett
J.K. Rowling
Maggie Stiefvater
J.R.R. Tolkien
I did it - and I can't believe I narrowed it down to ten! I think I had around 25 to start with but some how got it cut down. Wow! So, then, what do you think of my list? Do we share any favorites?
Hey!I see few of my favourite authors there :)

DeleteThis is such a great list! :)
ReplyDeleteWhy, thank you! :)
DeleteGreat list! I'm ashamed to say I haven't read any Douglas Adams yet, but I really want to. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! You can't miss out on Adams - I hope you like him as much as I do! :)
DeleteMaggie is amazing and Neil Gaiman never fails to enchant!
ReplyDeleteThey never ever fail. :)
DeleteSo hard to pick just 10 isn't it? I have read Arthur Conan Doyle, and Douglas Adams, so neat to see them on your list! Thanks for visiting my post earlier!
ReplyDeleteI know! Initially I had 25, and it was difficult to cut down. Thanks for visiting my blog.
DeleteI'm still kicking myself for leaving out J.R.R. Tolkien. J.K. Rowling made my list too. And Jim Butcher.
ReplyDeleteDouglas Adams is a great one too. And Neil Gaiman. Love his work.
I really want to give Maggie Stiefvater and Terry Pratchett a try someday.
Great list!
At least they made your list. :) You really should.
DeleteWe have a few in common Roald Dahl, JK Rowling and Maggie Stiefvater were all on my list too. I've heard of most of the others but I haven't read any of their books.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! You may want to check them out.
DeleteLOL -- it's so hard to pick only ten, isn't it? I love Rowling, King, and Gaiman as well. I need to read more of Stiefvater's books. I've only read the first book in the Mercy Falls series. My 13 yo daughter is a big Stiefvater fangirl and keeps telling me to get with the program. Ha! Guess I better :)
ReplyDeleteYou're missing out if you don't! :)
DeleteRoald Dahl was one of my favorite childhood authors! Now I really want to reread all his books :D Rowling is also on my list!
ReplyDeleteLaura @BlueEyeBooks
This is terrible, but I have only read Roald Dahl from your list! But I really do intend to read more of these authors, promise ;) Great list!
ReplyDeleteShannon @ It Starts At Midnight
I hope you enjoy them! :)
DeleteYay you have J.K. Rowling, there were many authors that I don't know but it's still great list.
