Music Monday: Songs I Loved When I Was Five

Happy Monday everyone and welcome back to Music Monday! Let's share some songs we've been enjoying lately!  If you would like to play and I really hope you do, please see the rules and link up below.

Rules:

Every Monday share one or two of songs you've been enjoying lately.  It doesn't have to be a specific genre, new, or one of your favorites - just something you'd like to share with others.  If possible, share a music or lyric video of the song and your thoughts on the song(s), artist(s), and/or music video(s).

If you would like to participate in Music Monday, please join the link up by sharing your post's url.

This week I'm spotlighting songs I loved when I was a tiny tot that I still love to this day!

"Watermelon Crawl" by Tracy Byrd (1994) - I was reminded of this one when it showed up on the playlist at work and surprisingly, I could still remember all of the lyrics after not having heard it all the way through the in several years!  Personally, I can't think of a better song that features the best summer time treat!

Hillbilly Rock by Marty Stuart (1989) - Seriously, how can you not think this is awesome! On a side note, the bassist's hairdo totally reminds me of Argus Filch's!

  1. I did not plan on doing a similar topic as you. lol That's kind of strange. :)

Side note, late 80's/early 90's country is really fun and kind of corny. But so is just about all music from that era.

  2. You liked hillbilly rock as a five year old? I probably was still singing Mares Eat Oats or some such silly songs.

    1. Yes! And, I have been told that I even liked it when I was younger, but I can't remember myself. :)
