Happy Tuesday and welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish! This week's topic is 2016 Releases That I Didn't Get To (But Totally Plan To). I bought, received as gifts, and won so many books last year (that sounds funny - 2016 is already last year!), and unfortunately I couldn't make it to all of them. Here are the ones that I'm planning on making all haste to get to this year:
Drake by Peter McLean
Heartless by Marissa Meyer
Iron Cast by Destiny Soria
My Best Friend's Exorcism by Grady Hendrix
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff
Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
Steeplejack by A.J. Hartley
This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab
A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
I'm also going to try and read My Lady Jane this year! It has to happen! I hope that you love these books when you get around to them!
ReplyDeleteHopefully we'll both like them! :)
DeleteThanks, Chrissi!
Read MY LADY JANE first. It is so much fun. My list
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to get started in on it! :)

ReplyDeleteIt really does! Thanks for visiting it, Greg!
DeleteEveryone has Evernight! I need to buy it!
ReplyDeleteSo many books last year and so little time! Also in my case I was not in the mood of reading a lot, I am getting older and I get too tired that when I sit to read I fall sleep :P
My TTT.
I know that feeling... :D
DeleteThanks for sharing, Mariela.
Great list! I hope you can read Nevernight soon. I thought it was just fantastic!

ReplyDeleteHere's my list!
Thanks, Deb!
DeletePhew, I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't read Nevernight last year. I felt totally confused by all the reviews. People seemed to either love it or hate it... I so don't want to hate it!
ReplyDeleteHope you get to read all of these soon!
Happy Reading
Rachel @ paein-and-ms4tune

DeleteMy Lady Jane made this week's list for me as well! Oh, and as I perpetually say, I need to read one of Marissa Meyer's books!
ReplyDeleteYes, you really need to read Marissa Meyer!
DeleteI don't know why, but I really didn't like My Lady Jane. I know it's getting amazing praise but it wasn't for me. :/ I need to read My Best Friend's Exorcism as well!
ReplyDeleteAh well. I hope you like Hendrix!
DeleteI haven't read any of these books but Heartless and This Savage Song are also on my list! I really need to read those soon!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with them Lia!
DeleteThis Savage Song was on my list this week too! I really liked Heartless when I read it, so I hope you do too :)

DeleteI see a lot of books that I still need to get to as well. Particularly, Heartless. I loved Stalking Jack the Ripper and I hope you do too when you get to it!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed for all of these! :D
DeleteHeartless and A Torch Against the Night are fantastic, so I hope you end up enjoying them as much as I did when you get a chance to read them. :) Thanks for sharing, and, as always, fantastic post! <3
ReplyDeleteThanks, Zoe! :)
DeleteI've heard a lot about Stalking Jack this week. It's the group book on a readathon on Booktube - the Biannual Bibliothon.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't planning to read it but now I've heard so much about it, I am thinking about it.

It certainly sounds like it has great potential. :)
DeleteStalking Jack the Ripper was very good. I also enjoyed Nevernight and Iron Cast as well. Heartless was interesting too. I have Steeplejack on hold at my library. I really love your taste in books! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to try them! :D I hope we'll both enjoy Steeplejack when we get to it, too.
DeleteGreat minds think alike! Thanks for visiting, Bill!
Heartless (and Stars Above) and My Lady Jane are definitely on my priority list this year! Also, depending on how An Ember in the Ashes ends, I might have to pick up its sequel immediately after...
ReplyDeleteThis Savage Song was lovely! Hopefully you enjoy that too :D
Stars Above was so good! I have a feeling you'll have to pick up the sequel to An Ember in the Ashes. :)
DeleteOf the ones I've read from your list, Iron Cast was my favorite. It's such a wonderful debut! My Lady Jane is also great, it made me laugh so much. Hope you enjoy all of these!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Alicia! I'm really looking forward to them. :)
DeleteNevernight and Stalking Jack the Ripper were some of my favorite reads last year. And My Lady Jane was hilarious. I hope you get to read, and enjoy, all pf these soon. Thanks for sharing, and for stopping by my TTT earlier. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Petra!
