Sci-Fi Month 2019 - Top Ten Tuesday: Classic Sci-Fi Books I Need To Read

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Welcome to the Top Ten Tuesday now hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.  This week I'm doing something a bit different for Sci-Fi Month 2019 (Image credit: Photo by Sebastien Decoret on 123RF.com with a quote from This Is How You Lose The Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone).  In the spirit of the month, I'm sharing my top ten Classic Sci-Fi Books I Need To Read.  Somehow I've missed out on these so far and one of these days, I need to finally see what the big deal is about all of them once and for all.  Here we go, in alphabetical order by title:

Brave New World by Aldous Huxley

Cryptonomicon by Neal Stephenson

Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency by Douglas Adams

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick

Doomsday Book by Connie Willis

Dune by Frank Herbert

The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick

Ringworld by Larry Niven

Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut

Stranger in a Strange Land by Robert A. Heinlein

Have you read any of these books?  Are you taking part in Sci-Fi Month this year?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!

  5. I literally just finished reading A Stranger in a Strange Land. I love it. Heinlein is difficult to get into, so I listened to the audiobook. It was the perfect way to injest it and I highly recommend.

  12. So many of the titles you've mentioned are books that I really want to read too! I've had Brave New World and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep on my list for a long time and I constantly try to get around to them, but keep forgetting, oops.

  14. I enjoyed Brave New World, although the beginning is a bit jarring and a little sink or swim, in my opinion. Hope you enjoy it when you get around to reading it. Dirk Gently is on my TBR, too!
