Book Riot's 2025 Read Harder Challenge: November Update - Frog and Toad Are Friends & The Queens of Animation
Happy Saturday everyone! I've now completed 22 total tasks for Book Riot's 2025 Read Harder Challenge. I completed two tasks for November which required me to reread a childhood favorite book and a book about little-known history and I selected Frog and Toad Are Friends (Frog and Toad #1) by Arnold Lobel and The Queens of Animation: The Untold Story of the Women Who Transformed the World of Disney and Made Cinematic History by Nathalia Holt. Read on to see my mini review and my plans for next month:
❋ ❋ ❋ ❋ ❋
Frog and Toad Are Friends (Frog and Toad #1) by Arnold Lobel was a book that I absolutely loved when I was a little kid. I'm thrilled that I love it just as much now as I did then. This was just nice. I would read about Frog and Toad going on any and all kinds of adventures.
My review is also on Goodreads and The StoryGraph.

The Queens of Animation: The Untold Story of the Women Who Transformed the World of Disney and Made Cinematic History by Nathalia Holt is a well-researched piece of history I knew nothing about going in. It was fascinating to read about these women and their stories need to be more well-known than they are. This part of history was far too long overdue. I need to look into more women's history with Disney.
My review is also on Goodreads and The StoryGraph.
Next Up For December:
Read a holiday romance that isn’t Christmas.
My choice: Almost Midnight by Rainbow Rowell - I haven't read anything from this author in quite some time, but the two short stories featured here should be a nice way to slip back into her style. Plus, one of the stories is set at a New Year's Eve party - and the other features Star Wars
Read a “cozy” book by a BIPOC author. My choice: We'll Prescribe You A Cat (We'll Prescribe You A Cat #1) by Syou Ishida - Doesn't this just sound nice?

I have fond memories of reading Toad & Frog to my kids😁
