The Liebster Award, Pt. 10

I can't believe I've been nominated for the Liebster Award for the tenth time!  Thanks so much for the nomination, Erica @ Erica Robyn Reads !  Everyone should check out her blog, it's great and she's just getting started at that! Since this award is generally for newer blogs, I believe I'll just be sharing my answers to the questions that Erica has set to me rather than nominating others as well.  Well, here we go: My Answers: 1. Who is your all time favorite author? I have so many, but honestly, it's pretty easy for me to select my all-time favorite - J.K. Rowling!  I don't know if there will ever be another author who's works will have the same effect on my life. 2. Does a particular color of book cover draw you in? Well, blue is my favorite color, but I have also noticed lately that I'm also drawn to orange covers.  For example, I love the covers of The Illuminae Files  by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff . 3. Sunday Funday: Memorial Day Weekend Book Haul

Happy Sunday and Memorial Day weekend everyone!  I hope everyone who celebrates it is having a good weekend with nice weather and cloudless skies (unlike the damp weather and threatening clouds overhead).  I was hoping to make it to a local ice cream festival today, but unfortunately that didn't happen.  Thanks, weather.  Tomorrow, though, looks like it will be a better day. However, the weekend hasn't been a total loss - yesterday, I saw Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales - it was a lot of fun to be back with Captain Jack Sparrow and his crew and Javier Bardem was pretty great as the villain of the story, plus the effects looked awesome - and I made it to the opening weekend of the county's Friends of the Library Book Sale.  It's held at a warehouse which was absolutely packed with materials and shoppers and they had a $5 per stuffed bag special.  The books in the photo above are what I managed to fit into that plastic bag! The Teen Sound  which was released in 1966 as a limited edition at one of my last forays to a local thrift store.  When I went up to the register the cashier sure gave me a funny look... Anyway, t
