In honor of Music Monday of Sci-Fi Month 2025, I'm sharing music from one of my new favorite shows, Murderbot. I've liked the novellas by Martha Wells I've read so far that it's adapted from and I was pleasantly surprised to find out just how much I loved this adaptation. I'm so happy that it has been renewed for a second season already. I appreciated the changes and expansions the show made to the source material and the representation meant a lot to me too. I glad the show kept Murderbot's running internal monologue because I was worried that would be cut from the adaptation but luckily we get to experience it first hand. I wasn't sure about Alexander Skarsgård when his casting was first announced, but he did a fantastic job of bringing the title character to life. I can't believe I doubted him looking back on it. All that said, though, the real MVP of the series for me was David Dastmalchian as Gurathin. I totally didn't expect Gurathin to become my favorite character at all, but I was incredibly invested and choked up during their final scene. If you haven't watched this adaptation yet, what are you waiting for? Give a listen to the Opening Title Sequence, Crew Montage, My Reason For Living, and End Message:
