SciFi Month 2025 - Sci-fi Movies & TV Shows I Want To Watch

Happy Sunday everyone!  Today I'm featuring the sci-fi movies and tv shows in honor of SciFi Month 2025!  Sci-Fi Month is a month long celebration of all things sci-fi and it's hosted by Lisa @ Dear Geek Place, Imyril @ There's Always Room For One More, Annemieke @ A Dance With Books, and Mayri @ Book Forager (Image credit: Artwork by Yuriy Nedopekin).  I don't know how many of these I'll manage to get around to, but these are some  of the sci-fi movies and shows I'd like to watch soon.  You can visit my Letterboxd list featuring the movies here if you are interested.

Movies

Brick (2025) - I've seen some mixed to negative reviews, but the trailer for this does look intriguing.  I'm also watching this for the Genre Challenge 2025.

The Creator (2023) - I've been meaning to check this out for ages.  I'm also watching this for The Anti-Criterion Challenge 2025.

Death Race 2000 (1975) - Set in the year 2000 - wow!  I'm also watching this for The 11th Annual Letterboxd Season Challenge.

Deep (2021) - This Thai movie sounds like it could be right up my alley.  I'm also watching this for the Genre Challenge 2025.

First Men in the Moon (1964) - Who am I kidding? This sounds awesome!  I'm also watching this for The 11th Annual Letterboxd Season Challenge.

Frankenstein (2025) - This is one of my most anticipated adaptations - I wish I could see it on the big screen though rather than just Netflix.  I'm beyond thrilled that it looks like it's going to follow Mary Shelley's original story.  Guillermo del Toro's one of my favorites so my expectations are sky high.

Lost in Starlight (2025) - Romance isn't really my thing, but this Korean animated movie looks like it's not to be missed.  I'm also watching this for the Genre Challenge 2025.

Predator: Badlands (2025) - I'm hoping to see this one in the theater.  I loved Prey and since this is from the same director my expectations are very high.  It will be released on November 7th.

The Running Man (2025) - I'm really looking forward to this adaptation.  It will be released in theaters on November 12th.

Tron (1982) - I've seen bits and pieces of this over the years and this seems like as good as any to finally try it.  I'm also watching this for The 11th Annual Letterboxd Season Challenge.

TV Shows

Alice in Borderland, Season 3 (2025) - Seasons 1 and 2 were so good - I'm so nervous about what's going to happen in season 3!

Andor, Season 2 (2025) - I've been putting this off so I could watch it this month.  The first season was amazing and I'm really looking forward to seeing how it all wraps up, but I'm not ready to say goodbye.

Doctor Who - Season 13: Flux (2021), Eve of the Daleks, Legend of the Sea Devils, & The Power of the Doctor (2022), 60th Specials - The Star Beast, Wild Blue Yonder, & The Giggle (2023), The Church on Ruby Road (Christmas 2023), Season 1 (2024), and Season 2 (2025) - I need to get caught up asap!  Why have I kept putting this off?

The MandalorianSeason 2 (2019) - I watched Andor last Sci-Fi Month and was really impressed with it and next I'll have to try this and eventually work my way through the other live action Star Wars series.

Travelers, Season 3 (2018) - The first two seasons were excellent - I'm not ready for this to end!

The Umbrella Academy, Season 4 (2024) - I've been putting off the final season of this show for too long.  I loved the first two seasons and liked the third season, but I've heard mixed things about how it ended.  I guess I'll find out.

Upload, Season 4 (2025) - This show has been a real pleasant surprise and I'm not ready for it to come to an end.  At least I have four episodes to look forward to!

Are you taking part in SciFi Month 2025?  Have you watched any of these movies or shows?  Which should I watch first?  As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
