Happy Friday everyone! Today I'm sharing my thoughts on the book I read this month for Choose Your Own Adventure: Year In Adelia, The Boardgame, the final book in my challenge.  You can see my full tbr here.  Without further ado, check out my mini review for my December book below:

Dead Man's Hand (The Unorthodox Chronicles #1) by James J. Butcher is a solid urban fantasy that has potential, but never quite rises to the top. The style feels very familiar and the tone reminds me a lot of the very early Dresden Files books. The characters, world, and magic aren't quite as well defined as I'd like them to be, but if you're a fan of the genre you might want to try it. I'm not entirely sure if I'll be back for the rest of the series.
