Happy Monday everyone! This week I'm sharing the lute music of b. I was introduced to his work via the Renaissance Music Radio station on Pandora. Anyway, I've been listening to his album John Dowland: Lute Music, Volume 3 -Pavans, Galliards and Almains and these are some of my favorites. Coincidentally, my favorites from that album are all galliards. Give a listen to Mr. Knight's Galliard, P. 36, Round Battle Galliard, P. 39, The Right Honourable the Lord Viscount Lisle, his Galliard, P. 91 "Sir Robert Sidney's Galliard", and The Earl of Derby's Galliard, P. 44:
These songs are fantastic, and I'm definitely going to add this album to my playlist.
ReplyDeleteI think I'll need to check out that Renaissance Music station!
