Resist (Among Us #2) by Anne-Rae Vasquez - Review

❋ ❋ ❋ ❋

I acted as a beta reader for Resist by Anne-Rae Vasquez and it was an honor to do so for this fantastic sequel to Doubt.

Resist jumps right back into action immediately after book one draws to a close. Harry and Cristal have to learn to navigate the human and spiritual worlds in order to save earth from destruction. They have to find out the truth behind GN's involvement and research involving their missing loved ones. If that wasn't hard enough, they have to fight the angels who have given up on saving humans from them selves leaving Harry and Cristal in a tough spot. But Harry thinks his ragtag group of online gamers may just have a chance at saving the world.

Resist is an excellent sequel to Doubt. There is even more world-building with the mythology and themes going deeper than ever. The characters are also really growing into themselves, especially Cristal. I was also pleased to see the return of other characters, who will remain unnamed to prevent spoilers. In short, I loved every second of this twisty, fast-paced thrill-ride!

If you like City of Bones by Cassandra Clare, Daughter of Smoke & Bone by Laini Taylor, the tv shows Fringe, Supernatural, and Medium, you'll love the Among Us Trilogy by Anne-Rae Vasquez.  I can't wait to read the concluding volume of this trilogy!

I'm so honored to be a part of this beta reading process. I loved every second of it. Thanks again for the opportunity, Anne-Rae!

I worked with this story from August 3 to December 13, 2014 and my review is also on Goodreads.
