Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Romantic Comedies Starring Cary Grant

Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish!  Since Valentine's Day is coming up this week, this week's topic is a Valentine's themed freebie, so again I have a bit of free reign.  Instead of focusing on books, I'll be focusing on movies.  Specifically, I'll be narrowing it down to my favorite romantic comedies (some I would consider more of a comedy) starring Cary Grant.  If you haven't had the opportunity to watch these movies, I can't recommend them enough!  Each movie will be linked to the IMDB page and I will also share a few gifs for each one.  Here we go, in order of original release date:

The Awful Truth (1937)

Bringing Up Baby (1938)

Holiday (1938)

His Girl Friday (1940)

The Philadelphia Story (1940)

Arsenic and Old Lace (1944 - filmed in 1941)

The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer (1947)

Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (1948)

That Touch of Mink (1962)

Charade (1963)

What do you think of this week's list?  Do you like classic Cary Grant movies as much as I do, especially when they also feature Katharine Hepburn?  Have any recommendations for me or have I inspired you to check out any classic movies?  Thanks for visiting my blog!  All comments are appreciated and I try to respond to everyone!

  10. Very unique list you featured this week, Lauren! I haven't seen any of these, but your list had me wondering if I've ever watched anything by Cary Grant (I know of him, surely I must've watched something by him, right? xD) So I did a quick search and whew, I did see one movie of his: An Affair to Remember :) Watched it with my grandmother years and years ago when we got it on tape. These movies you mentioned and gifs look very interesting though, will have to make a note to check out a few of these one of these days :)

Thanks for dropping by my TTT earlier :)
