The Friday 56 (With Book Beginnings): Death Warmed Over (Dan Shamble, Zombie PI #1) by Kevin J. Anderson

 

On Friday's I take part in three weekly link ups - The Friday 56, hosted by Freda's Voice, and Book Beginnings, hosted by Rose City Reader.  For The Friday 56, you choose a book, a book you have just finished, a book you are about to start, your current read, and share a line or a few lines that grab you (but don't spoil anything) from page 56 or 56% of the way through the ebook. Happy Friday everyone!  This week I'm spotlighting my current ScreamAthon readathon book, Death Warmed Over (Dan Shamble, Zombie PI #1) by Kevin J. Anderson.  I've read a few of this character's short stories and they were a lot of fun and I'm really looking forward to trying his first full length novel.

Beginning:

I'm dead, for starters - it happens.  But I'm still ambulatory, and I can still think, still be a contributing member of society (such as it is, these days).  And solve crimes.

56:

After Ramen Ho-Tep shuffled back to the museum, Robin used a small hand vacuum to clean up the dust and debris he had left behind on the conference table, while I pitched in with a carpet sweeper to get tid of the larger pieces on the floor.
