Happy Monday everyone! This week I'm sharing my favorite covers of the classic song Puttin' on the Ritz - Fred Astaire's featured in the movie Blue Skies (1946) and Taco's synth-pop cover which was released in 1982. I love both of these, but of the two Taco's is easily my favorite. I was so excited recently when I realized that one of my local radio station has started playing it periodically! Taco has a great voice and showmanship. Plus, he kind of reminds me of Tim Curry from the same time period which by association makes him extra cool.
I agree. Both are good, but I like the way Taco's version rearranged the beat.
