Happy Wednesday everyone! Today, I thought I'd share my reading plans for this entire month of October. As usual, I plan to read a bunch of spooky books to get ready for Halloween! Who knows if I'll be able to read all of twelve of these, but either way I think I've got a pretty great tbr. I also plan on checking out some cool movies for this year's round of Hooptober over on Letterboxd (which started back on September 15th) - you can check out my watchlist here. Without further ado, let's get to the reading material:
Blood Debt (Vicki Nelson #5) by Tanya Huff - I absolutely loved book four and I can't wait to see where the series goes in this installment.
Crafting for Sinners by Jenny Kiefer - This is one of my most anticipated releases of October and I actually preordered it this last time Barnes & Noble did that special preorder discount!
Devil's Wake (Devil's Wake #1) by Stephen Barnes and Tananarive Due - I've been meaning on getting more caught up on Due's works and this seems like a good as a place as any to start.
Fire & Ash (Rot & Ruin #4) by Jonathan Maberry - This series has been pretty great so far and it's a good time to continue to catch up on it.
Ghost Station by S.A. Barnes - I've been putting this one off for far too long and this seems like the perfect time to read this space horror novel.
Hex (Robert Grim #1) by Thomas Olde Heuvelt - This horror fantasy sounds like it has a lot of potential. I've heard that I may like this author's style as a fan of Junji Ito's work.
The Liar of Red Valley by Walter Goodwater - I picked this book up randomly a while back and I think it could be a favorite.
The No-End House by Jeremey Bates - Okay, so I love that horror anthology show Channel Zero and season 2's story, No-End House, was personally my favorite. Obviously, this really reminds me of it so I hope it will be half as good as that tv show.
Our Wicked Histories by Amy Goldsmith - It sounds like the perfect time to read this YA horror story to me.
Ship of the Dead (Omega Days #2) by John L. Campbell - I just recently read book one and I really got a kick out of it, so it's time to jump into the sequel.
Thirteen Storeys by Jonathan Sims - This sounds like it could be right up my alley. Plus, I like listening to The Magnus Archives, so hopefully that's a good sign.
Voices in the Snow (Black Winter #1) by Darcy Coates - This author has become one of my favorites and what better time to read more from her in October! This will be my first series opener from her as well.
Have you read any of these books? What are you planning to read to get ready for the spooky season? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
