Happy Tuesday everyone! Welcome to Top Ten Tuesday which is hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. This week's topic is Books About/Set In Places on My Bucket List, but I've decided to feature books by authors from my home state of Ohio with Books From Ohio Authors I've Never Read I Want To Try. It's fun to spotlight books by authors from my home state, especially if their stories are set in Ohio since I might actually recognize locations at least a little bit. Anyways, here we go in alphabetical order by title:
All Is Fair by Dee Garretsen - This 2019 YA historical fiction standalone is set during WWI and the main character gets pulled into the world of spies and international intrigue.
Crime and Poetry (A Magical Bookshop Mystery #1) by Amanda Flower - Cozy mysteries aren't always my thing, but this fantasy inspired one sounds like fun. I've been eyeing some of the author's other mysteries at the library as well.
The Demon King (Seven Realms #1) by Cinda Williams Chima - This 2009 YA fantasy series opener has been on my radar forever, but for some reason I keep putting it off. One of these days I have to try it!
Dungeons and Drama (Gaming and Romance #1) by Kristy Boyce - YA romance isn't a go-to genre for me, but this does sound delightful.
Eligible by Curtis Sittenfield - I'm familiar with other Pride & Prejudice retellings, but this one set in modern times one I've missed up until now. I think it could be pretty interesting.
The Good Lord Bird by James McBride - This author has been on my radar for awhile and I'm interested in reading several of his books, but I think this is the one I'll start with.
Maid of Secrets (Maids of Honor #1) by Jennifer McGowan - This YA historical fiction series opener is set in Elizabethan times and features spies in the queen's court so that sounds pretty cool to me!
Ohio by Stephen Markley - This has been recommended to me several times and I think one of these days I'll check it out from the library.
Seven Dirty Secrets by Natalie D. Richards - I've got several of this author's YA mystery thrillers on my list, but this is the one I think I'll start with.
Thorn (Dauntless Path #1) by Intisar Khanani - This YA fantasy series opener sounds like it could be a fun retelling of the fairy tale The Goose Girl.
Have you read any of these? What books written by author's from your home state or country would you like to read? As always, thanks for visiting my blog and perhaps even commenting down below!
