The 7 Deadly Sins Book Tag

I've been nominated for The 7 Deadly Sins Book Tag by Addlepates and Book Nerds.  It sounds pretty interesting so here we go.

1. Greed – what is your most inexpensive book? What is your most expensive?

For inexpensive, this could be anything I've bought from Goodwill, like The Different Girl by Gordon Dahlquist at $1.50.  For expensive, this could be pretty much any college textbook, like The History of Japanese Art by Penelope Mason which was around $100.

2.Wrath - what author do you have a love/hate relationship with?

I'm not quite sure this counts, but I'm going to say Becca Fitzpatrick.  I couldn't stand Black Ice or Hush, Hush but I actually read the entire book...so I guess you could argue that I was interested enough to see how they turned out.

3. Gluttony – what book have you devoured over and over with no shame?

Harry Potter - I've read each book in this series so many times!

4. Sloth – what book have you neglected reading due to laziness?

I'm was an English major in college and somehow I still haven't read some of the classics...1984Fahrenheit 451, Brave New World, Crime and Punishment, The Bell Jar, A Clockwork Orange.  I know, I have to fix it immediately!

5. Pride – what book do you talk about most in order to sound like an intellectual reader?

There are quite a few classics I have read, so I can do that with them.  When you tell someone that you enjoy reading fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and YA, you can tell that they're disappointed that you read those genres, you feel like you have to be able to talk about the classics or literary fiction as well.  Which I definitely can.  If you want to talk classic Gothic horror, plays, Shakespeare, Sherlock Holmes, the Brontes, etc., I can do that too.

6. Lust – what attributes do you find attractive in male or female characters?

Clever, funny (usually of the sarcastic/ deadpan snarker variety), curious, hopeful (but not to a ridiculous degree), brave, etc.

7. Envy – what book would you most like to receive as a gift?

Blue Lily, Lily Blue by Maggie Stiefvater

I have no idea who has done this tag.  I'm not going to tag anyone, but if you want to tag yourself, feel free!  Just be sure to link back to me!  Have fun!
