Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome back to Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week's theme is Most Anticipated Releases For The First Half of 2016.  I'm going to try to repeat myself as little as possible here, so you may be seeing a few titles I haven't really mentioned before alongside the huge names!  Here we go, in order by release date:

Drake (The Burned Man #1) by Peter McLean - January 6th, 2015 - Hitmen!  Greek Furies!  Lucifer!  Magical accomplices!

A Criminal Magic by Lee Kelly - February 2nd, 2016 - This one had me at The Night Circus meets Peaky Blinders, and it's written by the author of City of Savages!

Revisionary (Magic Ex Libris #4) by Jim C. Hines - February 2nd, 2016 - Isaac, Smudge, and Lena are back!!

These Vicious Masks by Tarun Shanker and Kelly Zekas - February 9th, 2016 - It had me at Jane Austen meets the X-Men!

A Gathering of Shadows (A Darker Shade of Magic #2) by V.E. Schwab - February 23rd, 2016 - It's the sequel to A Darker Shade of Magic - of course, it's going to be on my list!

Black City Saint (Black City Saint #1) by Richard A. Knaak - March 1st, 2016 - Saint George in Prohibition Era Chicago!

Lady Midnight (The Dark Artifices #1) by Cassandra Clare - March 8th, 2016 - Shadowhunters in present day L.A. - Blackthorns and Carstairs!

Half Lost (The Half Bad Trilogy #3) by Sally Green - March 29th, 2016 - It's the grand finale of the Half Bad Trilogy - it had to make the list!

The Raven King (The Raven Cycle #4) by Maggie Stiefvater - April 26th, 2016 - I won't know what to do when it's all said and done!

The Last Star (The 5th Wave #3) by Rick Yancey - May 24th, 2016 - I can't wait to see how it all ends!

So, what do you think of this week's list?  Are you hyped up to read any of these books?  What are you looking forward to and do you have any good recommendations for me?  As always, all comments are appreciated and I try to respond to everyone!

  7. Great list Lauren!! Though it is a bit farfetched, I'm hoping to read Lady Midnight if I finish the Mortal Instruemnts and Infernal Devices first. Unfortunately, I tried reading Half Bad a while back and never got into it. maybe I'll try again! I also did a TTT this week here!

  15. I've seen A CRIMINAL MAGIC on a couple of lists and I think I need to read it! Since I just finished THE 5TH WAVE yesterday, I think I'll be ready to read THE LAST STAR when it comes out.

    Happy New Year!

  17. Oooh I haven't heard of a lot of these books, but I'll definitely check them out now! And I've only heard amazing things about A Darker Shade of Magic, so I'm really hoping to pick it up before A Gathering of Shadows comes out. I also need to start Cassandra Clare books and pick up the Raven Cycle. Great picks! :)

    1. ADSoM is easily one of the best books I've read all year, so I hope you'll like it! :)

  18. Jane Austen meets the X-Men? I must haves it! When I saw the cover I was thinking, The Phantom of the Opera? But Austen and the X-Men somehow sound even better.

That cover for Black City Saint though. Wow. I want that cover artist to do my books when they're published.

I have been curious about Cassandra Clare's books. Which book/series of hers should I start with?

    1. The Phantom in the Opera, though, that could be interesting too though with X-Men... :)

I would want to pick it up just based on the cover alone!

Well, I read the Mortal Instruments series first and then the Infernal Devices. Each series was good, but I preferred TID. The Infernal Devices is set before the events of The Mortal Instruments, so you could read it chronologically, but it's perfectly fine if you want to read the other first.

  22. Oh my gosh. This is a great list. I don't know what I'll do after the Raven King either.
I did get to read These Vicious Masks already and it was amazing. I think you'll love it.
There are quite a few of these I haven't heard of... so off I go to Goodreads to make my TBR even longer.
    Thanks for sharing!

  24. "A Vicious Mask" looks really great! I've been seeing "The Raven King" around quite a bit, but I actually haven't even started this series yet. With as many readers that are absolutely in love with it, I suppose it needs to be on my list!
